摘要： A pneumatically-operated thrombectomy catheter deployment system having a plurality of components collectively acting as a drive unit, including a double-acting air cylinder, a reciprocating assembly including a positionable four-way valve, a high pressure pump, an effluent pump, a compressed air tank, and other closely related components . The double-acting air cylinder is reciprocatingly driven by the complement of the drive unit components to provide high pressure saline for use in the thrombectomy catheter and to exhaust effluent from the system. A plurality of preconnected components are connected to the drive unit including a thrombectomy catheter, a saline supply bag, an effluent collection bag, connection tubes, and other closely related components.

摘要： An exhaust-pressure-operated balloon catheter system which is a cross stream thrombectomy catheter, such as, but not limited to, an Angiojet® catheter with a flexible and expandable balloon, wherein the balloon is formed from and is continuous with the catheter tube which, in part, forms the cross stream thrombectomy catheter, wherein the balloon is deployable and expandable about the distal region of the cross stream thrombectomy catheter to act as an occluder device, and wherein the balloon is located proximal to the fluid jet emanator and inflow and outflow orifices upstream of ablative cross stream flows. The balloon is expandably deployed by the exhaust or back pressure created by the operation of the cross stream flows as generated by the fluid jets of the operating exhaust-pressure-operated balloon catheter system.

摘要： A thrombectomy catheter deployment system which greatly simplifies setup procedures and operation of a thrombectomy catheter includes a stand alone drive unit and a disposable pump/ catheter assembly which is manually placed into a carriage assembly in the drive unit. The pump/catheter assembly has a plurality of preconnected components including tubular structure and a thrombectomy catheter connected thereto and is transported into or out of the interior of the drive unit for automatic high pressure pump piston head engagement or disengagement with a reciprocating linear actuator and for automatic engagement or disengagement of an effluent waste tube with a roller pump. A barcode reader senses specific operational data pertaining to an individual pump and provides an interface for operation of the reciprocating linear actuator. A bubble trap incorporated for effective debubbling of saline solution is closely coupled to an insert molded pump having an improved valve arrangement. A spiked bag with large tubing is incorporated for bubble-free transfer of saline.

摘要： A thrombectomy catheter system with occluder and method of using same for removal of tissue, such as thrombus and the like, form a vessel in the body. Multiple catheters and an occluder-bearing guidewire tube at a thrombus site provide for expandable deployment of a compliant occluder against the vasculature walls distal to the thrombus. The expanded occluder is maneuvered proximally to urge thrombus into close proximity with a retractable capture cone located distally on a capture catheter where the thrombus is dislodged, entrained, and broken into pieces by the action of a fluid jet emanator and then evacuated through the capture catheter.

摘要： A single operator exchange fluid jet thrombectomy method employing a single operator exchange fluid jet thrombectomy device (10) having an outer catheter assembly (12) and inner catheter assembly (14) allowing functioning as a rheolytic thrombectomy catheter or as a crossflow thrombectomy catheter. The outer catheter assembly (12) is common to any mode of usage and includes a guide catheter portion (32) having a lumen (100) through which a guidewire (16) and the greater portion of a hypo-tube (42) carrying a jet emanator (52) and a flow director (48a-d) are passed and advanced. In the method, thrombus is dislodged, entrained, and broken into pieces by fluid jets and evacuated through the lumen (100) of the guide catheter (32).

摘要： A safety gate system having an electronic display for seamless integration into a barrier with electronic display capabilities. The safety gate system includes a post and a gate hinged to the post. The gate face and post carry electronic display modules which appear when the gate is closed, as continuous with and seamlessly integrated into the display of the barrier. Preferably, the hinges are four-bar hinges, most preferably two sets of paired four-bar hinges. The safety gate also includes a lower chase or sill which allows both signal wiring and power to pass under the gate. Braced rear legs compensate for the cantilever forces of the gates when open. A latch, preferably an electromagnetic latch, auto-releases in response to a pre-set sufficient force level, such as arising crowd surge forces, being applied to the gate, as well as being remotely releasable.
