    • A fermentation system includes a fermentation tank, a plurality of sensors operable to measure a plurality of fermentation system parameters, a plurality of mechanisms operable to control the fermentation system parameters, and a controller in electronic communication with the sensors and with the mechanisms. The controller includes a memory, a receiver circuit, a transmitting circuit, and a control circuit. The memory stores a plurality of recipes each defining user operating instructions and parameter settings. The receiver circuit is configured to receive a batch identification code associated in the memory with one of the recipes. The transmitting circuit is configured to communicate the user operating instructions defined by the associated one of the recipes. The control circuit is configured to operate the mechanisms to adjust the fermentation system parameters in accordance with the parameter settings defined by the associated one of the recipes.

    • A lockout device includes a body, a clamp, and a cover. The body includes a recess and a first lock passage extending from a first opening in an upper surface to a second opening in a rear surface. The clamp is assembled with a clamp retaining portion of the body. The cover is connected with the body and is movable between a lockout position covering at least a portion of the clamp and a release position uncovering the clamp to permit adjustment. The cover includes first and second cutouts. When the cover is in the lockout position, the first and second cutouts align with the first and second openings of the body to permit insertion of a lock member through the first lock passage, thereby preventing movement of the cover from the lockout position to the release position.

    • In a method for detecting disruptions proximate to an underground conduit, at least one signal carrying cable is positioned along a length of the conduit and between the conduit and a ground surface. At least one cable engaging member is connected to spaced apart locations on the at least one signal carrying cable to extend laterally outward of the at least one signal carrying cable. Each of the at least one cable engaging members is configured to transmit a force to the at least one signal carrying cable when impacted by an external force. A monitoring signal is provided to the at least one signal carrying cable, and a reflected monitoring signal is received in response to the supplied monitoring signal. One or more properties of the reflected monitoring signal are compared to one or more corresponding properties of a predicted reflected monitoring signal. An alert is initiated when the one or more properties of the reflected monitoring signal differ from the one or more properties of the predicted reflected monitoring signal by a predetermined amount.
