摘要： A system and method for measuring the conductivity level in a urine sample. The system also calculates and displays the electrolyte concentration, and the osmotic pressure. The system further indicates whether or not these levels are low, normal, high or dangerous for the heart. The system comprises a power source, a detection probe for measuring the conductivity level of a given urine sample, and a processing means for calculating and outputting the electrolyte concentration and the osmotic pressure of a urine sample. Such calculations are based on the conductivity level measured in the urine sample. The system also includes a display means for displaying the electrolyte concentration and the osmotic pressure calculated by the processing means.

摘要： A memory controller controls a buffer which stores the most recently used addresses and associated data, but the data stored in the buffer is only a portion of a row of data (termed row head data) stored in main memory. In a memory access initiated by the CPU, both the buffer and main memory are accessed simultaneously. If the buffer contains the address requested, the buffer immediately begins to provide the associated row head data in a burst to the cache memory. Meanwhile, the same row address is activated in the main memory bank corresponding to the requested address found in the buffer. After the buffer provides the row head data, the remainder of the burst of requested data is provided by the main memory to the CPU.

摘要： The present invention provides decontamination equipment which can be on site with the first responders, and set up on the clean line, ready to process personnel as they move from the contaminated area. In one embodiment the present invention provides a transportable mass personnel decontamination system comprising a transportation means (10) carrying a plurality of individual three compartment processing cubicles (36, 39, 42); (37, 40, 43); (38, 41, 44) for ambulatory personnel, each processing cubicle having enclosure means (49, 50, 51) for each compartment to provide modesty screening of personnel, the first compartment (30, 31) for disrobing, the second compartment (32, 33)containing a temperature and pressure controlled personnel operated shower with a decontaminant dispenser, and the third compartment (34, 35) providing a re-dress area. A soft conveyor litter patient processing line (4, 5, 7) including stations for decontaminating, washing, rinsing, and drying litter patients is included. A monitoring area can be available beyond the processing cubicles. The system further includes a fresh water supply (48), and a grey water collection and storage tank (47). The fresh water system includes a temperature and pressure control (46) which specifically has an anti-scald control.

摘要： An optical network system having a global controller capable of controlling all the elements of the network. The controller receives performance data from each optical network element and calculates a performance value for each channel transmitting through the system. The controller then isolates the channel with the minimum performance value and tests possible changes in network element parameters to find a change which would increase this performance value. Once such a change is found, it is implemented and the system is reoptimized.
