A vacuum pump communicates with the repair space (65) and the reservoir to apply a partial vacuum to the repair space (65) and to the reservoir without repair liquid (86) from the reservoir being drawn into the repair space (65) in order to degas separately the flaw (31) and repair liquid (86) in the reservoir. After appropriate degassing, repair liquid (86) from the reservoir is caused to flow into the repair space (65) to fill the repair space with repair liquid.

摘要： A system, method and apparatus to repair a flexible endless track (1) of a track-driven vehicle such as a snowmobile increases the usable life of the track and avoids its disposal. In the preferred embodiment, a worn section of a snowmobile track (1) is first prepared for repair by cleaning, grinding and tack gluing. Next, suitable hot vulcanizing repair materials (81) are placed over the worn spot. Finally, a number of tools (21, 22, 41, 42, 51, 61-69, 86) according to the invention are used to press these materials (81) into place, and necessary heat (23) and pressure is applied for the necessary length of time to complete the repair process.

The powered pump unit includes a pump unit housing, a power source receiver, a vacuum pump, a pump drive, and a sealing arrangement. The pump unit housing is adapted to be received in the pump cylinder in an operating position after the piston is removed from the pump cylinder. The power source receiver, vacuum pump, and pump drive are each mounted on the pump unit housing and at least one of them is at least partially located in the pump cylinder when the pump unit housing is in the operating position. The pump drive is operatively connected to drive the vacuum pump to produce a vacuum that is applied to the vacuum cup of the vacuum cup device.
