    • A liquid crystal display device which can improve visual angle characteristics of a liquid crystal panel by a simple process, its production method, and an electronic appliance. The liquid crystal display device includes first and second subsidiary pixel electrodes (10, 12) and a first capacitor electrode (20) disposed below a protective insulating film (60). The first and second subsidiary pixel electrodes (10, 12) and the first control capacitor electrode (20) constitute control capacitors (C1 and C2).
