The door assembly (25) includes sealing means (33, 35) extending between said upper door (27) and said lower door (29), obviating the need for a structure forming part of the refrigeration compartment cabinet for the doors to seal against, which would be an impediment to access when both doors (27) and (29) are open.

According to the refrigerator of the present invention so configured, there are advantages in that the temperature in the refrigerating chamber can be accurately controlled, the loss of cold air can be minimized and the structures for supplying water into the icemaker and the dispenser can be simplified.
