    • The invention relates to vascular surgery. The inventive prosthetic device (stent) comprises a flexible ring (1) and an elastic ring (2), which are axially fixed to each other. The elastic ring (1) is arranged inside the flexible ring (2), which is provided with a cavity for a source of therapeutic intervention. The inventive method for remote prosthetics of the tubulous organ consists in deforming the prosthetic device in the radial direction and in two frontal planes. Said prosthetic device is arranged in a system for remote prosthetics and fixed in relation to a working end of the system. The working end of the system is introduced into a prosthesised segment of a vessel and fixed therein in relation to said segment. The fixation of the prosthesis in relation to the working end of the system being removed, at least one inosculation is carried out. The fixation of the working end of the system in relation to the prosthesised segment of the vessel being removed, said end is withdrawn from the vessel. The inventive system for remote prosthetics of the tubulous organ comprises a transport means provided with a flexible tubular guide (14), a mechanism for fixing the prosthetic device in relation to the working end of the guide and a mechanism for fixing said transport means in relation to the prothesised segment of the vessel.

    • A collapsible medical device (10) for grafting a lumen of selected organs and vessels, wherein the medical device (10) is shaped from a shape memory fabric. The device (10) is preferably made from a continuous tubular fabric (12) and each end terminates with an open end (14, 16) for passage there through. Each end (14, 16) further includes a securing member (24) attached to an outer perimeter of the end, wherein a substantial plane formed by the perimeter intersects the longitudinal axis of the tubular fabric (12) at either an acute or obtuse angle. The fabric may be heat treated within a mold in order to substantially set a desired shape of the device (10). The securing member (24) may also attach to the end of a guide wire or delivery catheter, thereby allowing deployment and later retrieval after deployment of the device (10).

On radial compaction, the prosthesis has a low profile, allowing introduction into the body with a deployment instrument of low calibre. The prosthesis has a longitudinal strut to provide longitudinal support. One or more, outwardly biased, flexible curvilinear members with good shape-memory, symmetrically attached to the leading end of the prosthesis help unroll the prosthesis during deployment. Magnetised wires or powder may be attached to the prosthesis to facilitate this process and provide in addition radial elasticity to the prosthesis. The prosthesis may have tubular extensions to allow the treating lesions that involve the parent tubular organ and its branches. Alternatively, the prosthesis may be provided with apertures which can be widened in vivo. For implantation in branches, the prosthesis may be provided with a flange at its trailing end.
