    • A system for naturally purifying a sewage or wastewater by utilizing aquatic plants over four seasons is disclosed. In treating a contaminated water, wastewater, sewage and salt-contained water, a distributing tank (10) receives a physical or biologically pretreated water or a slightly contaminated water to evenly supply the received water to lower portions of aquatic plant beds. Each of a plurality of the aquatic plant beds (1, 2, 3 and 4) consists of a distributing layer (51), a supporting layer (52), a sand-pebble layer (53) and a filtering layer (54), the aquatic plants (20) being planted in the filtering layer (54). A main drain conduit (11) consists of a lower drain conduit (111) and an upper drain conduit (112), for removing foreign materials from lower and upper portions of the aquatic plant beds and from the distributing tank.
