    • A water craft (10) includes a hull (12) defining two cavities (18). An inflatable chamber (22) is arranged in each cavity (18), for displacing water from hull (12), in use, to increase the buoyancy of the craft (10). As the chamber (22) is inflated, it expands to reduce the free space available for water in the cavity (18), so as to directly expel water from the cavity (18). The chamber (22) can be deflated, in order to flood the cavity and thereby sink the craft (10). The craft (10) is intended to be operated in a normal buoyant mode and in a submarine mode, and includes propeller means (34). The craft may be in the form of a catamaran-type vessel, a jet-ski, or a submersible tank.

    • A vessel (1) for deployment underwater comprises a ballast container and water ballast. In use, the density of the water ballast is altered to make the vessel heavier, so that it can be moved to a desired position on the sea bed and anchored. The density of the water can be increased further still with a by-product of reverse osmosis, to anchor the vessel more firmly. To move the vessel after use, the density of the water is reduced again by replacing salt water with fresh water and the vessel can be moved to a new position or back to the surface for recovery.

    • An unmanned fire boat which can safely and effectively extinguish a fire on a ship even in the event of spreading and spillage of an outflowing oil and a stormy weather, is excellent in mobility. The fire boat mounts thereon a remote control device (4) to actuate via transmission from a remote safe region a fire fighting mechanism (1), which jets and sprays water from a fire fighting tower (1a) on the ship and a submerging ballast mechanism (2) and a navigating mechanism (3) installed in the ship to thereby perform fire fighting and extinguishing by means of remote control from the remote safe region. The fire fighting tower (1a) is installed to freely stand up and fall, and wheels (5) for land transport are provided on a boat's bottom, whereby air transport of the boat over a long distance by a warplane and land transport of the boat over a short distance by traction of a crane truck are carried out with the fire fighting tower kept flat.
