    • Disclosed here is a method of a network access point configured to operate in a wireless network. The wireless network comprises at least one wideband channel. The wireless network further comprises one or more wideband terminals configured to transmit and receive in the wideband channel, and one or more narrowband terminals configured to transmit and receive in one or more narrowband channels comprised within the wideband channel. The method comprises initiating a downlink transmission for at least one of the one or more wideband terminals and for a first narrowband terminal and transmitting a preamble over the wideband channel for synchronization of the at least one wideband terminal and the at least one narrowband terminal, wherein a first transmission power of the preamble in a first narrowband channel comprised within the wideband channel is higher than a second transmission power of the preamble in the remainder of the wideband channel not comprising the one or more narrowband channels. The multi-modulation receiver (50) comprises additionally comprises a Fast Fourier Transform, FFT, unit (55) configured to separate data received from the individual transmitters into mutually orthogonal subcarriers by transforming the multicarrier signal in the time domain to multiple orthogonal subcarrier signals in the frequency domain. The multi-modulation receiver (50) further comprises a demapping unit (57) configured to, for each of the multiple transmitters, demap the corresponding subcarrier signals in accordance with the modulation scheme of the respective transmitter. The disclosure also relates to corresponding methods and to a receiver for receiving data transmitted by the multi-modulation transmitter.

    • An access point device comprising a transceiver configured to receive and send messages on a communication channel, and a controller configured to cause the transceiver to transmit beacon messages regularly on the communication channel is disclosed. The beacon messages include a first indication that data, for one or more stations arranged to communicate with the access point device over the communication channel, is buffered in a buffer associated with the access point device when data is buffered in the buffer. The station is arranged to communicate over the communication channel with the access point device, and arranged to apply a power save mode including a Doze state and an Awake state, wherein, when the station is in the Doze state, the station occasionally enters the Awake state for determining whether data for the station is buffered in the buffer and then re-enters the Doze state if no data for the station is indicated to be buffered in the buffer.
