摘要： Described is a vibration stimulus delivery device for delivering a vibration stimulus to an animal by way of a vibration probe secured in physical contact with the skin of the animal. The vibration stimulus delivery device includes a vibration probe, a stimulus trigger detection device, and a carrying device. The vibration probe and the stimulus trigger detection device are secured to the carrying device, which is secured to the animal such that the animal carries the vibration probe and the stimulus trigger detection device. The vibration probe is disposed on the carrying device such that the vibration probe is secured in physical contact with the skin of the animal. The stimulus trigger detection device is adapted to detect an undesirable behavior and is in electrical communication with the vibration probe such that when the stimulus trigger detection device detects the undesirable behavior, the vibration probe is activated.

摘要： A pet door having a locking mechanism for normally limiting ingress and egress, the pet door being adapted communicate with a conventional environmental detector to unlock the locking mechanism when a hazard environmental condition is detected. The pet door is adapted to work in cooperation with either a conventional smoke detector or an improved smoke detector. In one embodiment, a radio frequency (RF) transmitter is used in cooperation with a conventional smoke detector to communicate with a pet door of the present invention. In either embodiment, when the smoke detector detects an event such as the presence of smoke and/or fire such that an audible alarm is sounded, the pet door locking mechanism is unlocked. The pet door is also useful in cooperation with other detectors such as a carbon monoxide detector or a security alarm.

The pet gate device includes a signal generating device and a receiver. The signal generating device is adapted to generate at least two different signals, namely a barrier signal and a passageway signal. The receiver is adapted to receive the transmitted signals and to recognize whether the barrier signal or the passageway signal is being generated and transmitted. The receiver is adapted to administer a stimulus to the pet when the receiver recognizes the barrier signal. Conversely, the receiver is adapted to not administer a stimulus to the pet when the receiver recognizes a passageway signal.

The length of the conduit (62) is chosen to exceed the straight-line distance between the exit port (54) and the vertically lowermost portion of the reservoir (30) by an amount sufficient to provide for wedging of the conduit (62) against at least one interior wall of the reservoir (30) opposite the exit port (54) and preferably opposite to terminal open end of the conduit (62).
