    • Described is a vibration stimulus delivery device for delivering a vibration stimulus to an animal by way of a vibration probe secured in physical contact with the skin of the animal. The vibration stimulus delivery device includes a vibration probe, a stimulus trigger detection device, and a carrying device. The vibration probe and the stimulus trigger detection device are secured to the carrying device, which is secured to the animal such that the animal carries the vibration probe and the stimulus trigger detection device. The vibration probe is disposed on the carrying device such that the vibration probe is secured in physical contact with the skin of the animal. The stimulus trigger detection device is adapted to detect an undesirable behavior and is in electrical communication with the vibration probe such that when the stimulus trigger detection device detects the undesirable behavior, the vibration probe is activated.

    • Described is a pet gate device for generating a non-tangible electrical pet barrier and for generating a non-tangible electrical pet passageway. The pet gate device includes a signal generating device and a receiver. The signal generating device is adapted to generate at least two different signals, namely a barrier signal and a passageway signal. The signal generating device includes a transmitter for transmitting the generated signals. The receiver is adapted to receive the transmitted signals and to recognize whether the barrier signal or the passageway signal is being generated and transmitted. The receiver is adapted to administer a stimulus to the pet when the receiver recognizes the barrier signal. Conversely, the receiver is adapted to not administer a stimulus to the pet when the receiver recognizes a passageway signal.

    • In a device (12) adapted to dissuade a dog from barking, there is provided a reservoir (30) of spray material (50) associated with a collar (14) which encircles the dog's neck (16). The reservoir (30) includes at least one wall (32, 34, 36, 38) member defining an interior volume for the receipt of spray material (50) therein. The reservoir (30) includes a first dimension (i.e., a centerline) which lies within the median sagittal plane of an erect dog which is facing forward, thereby orienting one portion of the interior of the reservoir (30) vertically lowermost. An exit port (54) is provided for the transport of spray material (50) from the interior to the exterior of the reservoir (30). A semi-rigid, lengthwise substantially non-compressible, conduit (62) having a first end (64) thereof connected in fluid flow communication with the exit port (54), extends from the exit port (54) and terminates at its opposite and open end at the vertically lowermost interior portion of the reservoir (30) when the present appliance (10) is mounted at a location on the collar beneath the lower jaw (31) of the dog. The length of the conduit (62) is chosen to exceed the straight-line distance between the exit port (54) and the vertically lowermost portion of the reservoir (30) by an amount sufficient to provide for wedging of the conduit (62) against at least one interior wall of the reservoir (30) opposite the exit port (54) and preferably opposite to terminal open end of the conduit (62).

    • This invention is a device (10) for achieving animal response that produces two output frequencies, one to soothe the animal, and one to distress the animal. The frequency for distressing the animal is an oscillating frequency to cause further attention by the animal, and to provide optimum operation of the sound producing element. The oscillating frequency is created by producing a second frequency higher than the first frequency, and then oscillating this second frequency. Sound is produced by a piezoelectric element (40) driven by these frequencies. Components are generally contained in an enclosure body (12), with push buttons (20, 22) for selecting a desired sound output penetrating this enclosure body (12) for contact by a user of the device.
