    • A method of making an integrated window sash includes providing a sash frame having a first sheet supporting surface, a second sheet supporting surface, and a base extending from the first sheet supporting surface to toward the second sheet supporting surface; applying a layer of an adhesive sealant having a low gas and moisture permeability on the first sheet supporting surface; applying a layer of an adhesive sealant having a low gas and moisture permeability on the second sheet supporting surface; applying a layer of a moisture pervious matrix having a desiccant therein on the base; moving a first sheet having a first major surface and an opposite second major surface into the spacer frame over and spaced from the matrix to move the first major surface of the first sheet against the first layer, and moving a second sheet having a first major surface and an opposite major surface toward the second layer to move the first major surface of the second sheet against the second layer, wherein the first surface of the second sheet is spaced from the second surface of the first sheet to provide a compartment therebetween and the desiccant is in communication with the compartment.

    • A composite structure comprising a preformed flexible laminate in adhering contact with at least a first and second transparent or translucent panel members (22, 23) such as would be useful as an insulated glass unit. The flexible laminate contains an undulating spacer element (25) either partially or totally embedded within a core material (24) and has a polymeric coating (26) on at least one surface thereof. The flexible laminate effectively seals the interior of the panel structure from air and/or moisture and maintains a desired distance between the panels (22, 23). A multi-cavity extrusion die for forming the preformed flexible laminate has a core cavity for receiving the core material (24) as well as the undulating continuous spacer element (25). Converging walls within the core cavity serve to embed at least one side of the spacer element (25) in the core material (24) and a land area forms a desired shape or configuration wherein the spacer element (25) undulation is maintained. At least one polymeric feed cavity located downstream from said core cavity and said land area applies a polymeric film or coating (26) to at least a surface of the embedded spacer element (25). A plurality of optional feed cavities can apply the same or different polymers to additional surfaces of the embedded spacer element (25) and can totally cover or encapsulate the same.

    • A profile spacing element for mounting of a second glass (2) in a window frame (1) said spacing element serves as a spacer between the glasses. The space between the glasses and the spacing element is sealed. The spacing element (6, 15) preferably consists of a non-rigid material, provided with a diffusion tight covering (9), which along the whole length of the spacing element covers its whole sides (7, 8, 10) turned towards the glasses (2, 5) and the window frame (1) and is sealing against the glasses and the window frame. The diffusion tight material (9) consists of an elastic or resilient material. Further the spacing element preferably is formed as a hollow profile filled with a drying agent and having longitudinally extending deformation notches (11, 12) making it possible to bend the spacing element at the corner areas of the window frame without pressing the glasses apart from each other.
