Techniques may include embedding DCI for a set of serving cells and/or TTIs in a PDSCH. DCI for a set of serving cells and/or TTIs may be included in single PDCCH/E-PDCCH. To reduce overhead, carrier indicator field interpretation may be associated with the serving cell or TTI from which the PDCCH/E-PDCCH containing the downlink control information is received, or the group of cells or TTIs to which the PDCCH/E- PDCCH containing the downlink control information belongs.

摘要： Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for LTE operation in an unlicensed spectrum, LTE-U. A wireless transmit/receive unit, WTRU, may establish a connection with a first cell on a licensed frequency band. The WTRU may receive a first downlink transmission from a second cell operating on an unlicensed frequency band. The WTRU may determine that a synchronization signal transmission from a third cell operating on the unlicensed frequency band is transmitted using one or more resource elements. The WTRU may perform frequency and/or timing estimation based on the synchronization signal transmission. The WTRU may perform rate matching around the one or more resource elements that correspond to the synchronization signal transmission. The WTRU may perform rate matching around the one or more resource elements by de-mapping symbols of the downlink transmission.

Detection and measurement of a D2D discovery signal, D2D signal identity management, and monitoring by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) of PDCCH for D2D discovery scheduling is described, as is a WTRU that may be configured with a D2D-specific transmission/reception opportunity pattern. The discovery signal may carry a payload for explicit information about user and/or service identity, and may be mapped to physical resources in such a way as to decouple transmission/reception of the discovery signal from downlink operations. A WTRU may measure a D2D discovery signal quality and report to the network.

摘要： A method and apparatus are described for a low cost machine-type-communication (LC-MTC) wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) to enhance coverage. An example method for physical broadcast channel (PBCH) enhancement includes receiving system information on an enhanced PBCH (ePBCH). The ePBCH is located in a set of radio frames which is a subset of available radio frames, where the subset includes fewer than all the available radio frames. The ePBCH is received in at least one radio frame of the set of radio frames. An example method for physical random access channel (PRACH) enhancement includes receiving configuration of legacy PRACH resources and enhanced PRACH (ePRACH) resources. The WTRU selects one of legacy PRACH resources or ePRACH resources based on a coverage capability. Another example method for PRACH enhancement includes receiving configuration of ePRACH resources. The ePRACH resources include multiple ePRACH resource types, each ePRACH resource type being associated with a coverage capability.

摘要： A wireless network may implement a reduced bandwidth for control information transmitted and/or received on the wireless network. The reduced bandwidth may be used to avoid interference that may be detected from an in-band or adjacent channel. The reduced bandwidth may be used for transmission and/or reception of control information on a cellular or Wi-Fi channel. An eNB or an access point (AP) may signal to a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) information associated with the reduced control channel, such as the power and/or the location of the channel in a frequency band. The control channel may be shifted to avoid a change in interference.

摘要： A method implemented by a Wireless Transmit/Receive Unit (WTRU) includes receiving a DeModulation Interference Measurement (DM-IM) resource, determining an interference measurement based on the DM-IM resource, and demodulating a received signal based on the interference measurement. An interference is suppressed based on the interference measurement. At least one DM-IM resource is located in a Physical Resource Block (PRB). The DM-IM resource is located in a PRB allocated for the WTRU. The DM-IM resource is a plurality of DM-IM resources which form a DM-IM pattern, and the DM-IM pattern is located on a Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) and/or an enhanced Physical Downlink Shared Channel (E-PDSCH) of at least one Long Term Evolution (LTE) subframe. The DM-IM resources are different for different Physical Resource Blocks (PRB) in the LTE subframe. Once start-up of a WTRU is initiated, the WTRU scans a network advice channel in a particular band, ( e.g. , 5.180 GHz - 5.320 GHz).
