In a further aspect, an apparatus (100) includes a diffusion member (130) disposed proximate the intake aperture (118) and positionable proximate the work surface.

    • The invention concerns a cleaner comprising a suction nozzle (1) having a movable cleaning disk (12) and a suction pipe (5) which is in communication with a source of suction power. The cleaner comprises a driving mechanism (10) for propelling the cleaning disk (12), the latter being arranged, while performing an oscillating movement, to effect a surface treatement in contact against the surface. The driving mechanism is a turbine wheel (10) which is driven by a current of suction air generated by the source of suction power. The cleaning disk (12) is mounted on the rotational shaft (1) of the turbine wheel (10) and the turbine wheel (10) is provided with an eccentrically positioned weight (13) which is arranged to cause said cleaning disk to oscillate in its own plane.
