    • In the present invention, there is provided a window blind (100) comprising a plurality of light guide plates (110). Each light guide plate (110) is configured to receive light through a first surface and direct the received light out through a second surface. For each light guide plate (110), the window blind (100) further comprises a light source (120) placed at an end of the light guide plate (110) to emit light into the light guide plate (110), and a cap (130) configured to house the light source (120). The window blind (100) further comprises a first driving circuit configured to individually drive the plurality of light sources (120). By applying a cap (130) to house the light source (120), the users of the window blind (100) will not see the light source (120). Therefore, the appearance of the window blind (100) is improved. In addition, the light source (120) can be well protected by the cap (130) so as to increase the lifetime of the window blind (100).

    • In one aspect, a metadata-based classification result is obtained based on metadata (20) associated with an image (14). A histogram-based classification result is determined based on a histogram of intensity values derived from the image (14). The image (14) is classified into a scene type class based on the metadata-based classification result and the histogram-based classification result. In another aspect, a first condition is applied on a first one of metadata (20) associated with an image (14) corresponding to a measure of amount of light received in capturing the image (14) to obtain a first metadata-based classification result. A second condition is applied on a second one of the metadata (20) corresponding to a measure of brightness of the image (14) to obtain a second metadata- based classification result. The image (14) is classified into a scene type class based on the first and second metadata-based classification results.
