    • The invention relates to an animal recognition and location arrangement in which the arrangement is easily attached to an animal. The arrangement comprises two components, a first component containing self powering and electronic communication features and a second component for attaching or securing the first component to the animal. The arrangement provides for unique identification information for the animal including location, and is also provided with a self-powering feature comprising a solar cell, and an illuminating feature, such as a light emitting diode for visually locating the animal at night. The first component of the arrangement also contains microcomputer devices for allowing electronic identification and location of the animal while the second component is constructed to allow for easy assembly of the first component to the animal.
