摘要： An assembly (10) is disclosed for cleaning a drain conduit (16). The assembly includes first and second conduit sections (22, 24) that are communicably connected to respective upstream and downstream sections (12, 14) of the drain conduit. A valve (15), interconnected between the first and second conduit sections, is selectively opened to permit communication between the first and second conduit sections and closed to restrict communication between the first and second conduit sections. A first connector section (26), communicably attached to and extending transversely from the first conduit section, is selectively engaged by one of a pressure source (86) and a vacuum source (90) to introduce, when the valve is closed, one of a pressure and vacuum, respectively, into the first conduit section, whereby the upstream section of the drain conduit is cleaned. A second connector section (28), communicably attached to and extending transversely from the second conduit section, is selectively engaged by one of a pressure source and a vacuum source to introduce one of a pressure and vacuum, respectively, into the second conduit section whereby the downstream section of the drain conduit is cleaned.

摘要： A method for disinfecting a lens is disclosed. The method comprises contacting a lens to be disinfected in a liquid medium with at least one chlorine dioxide precursor in the presence of at least one acidic component effective to increase the rate of formation of chlorine dioxide from the chlorine dioxide precursor, thereby disinfecting the lens; and adjusting the acidity of the liquid medium containing the disinfected lens. Compositions useful in the above-noted method are also disclosed.

摘要： A method of drying electronic parts such as semiconductors, liquid crystal display elements and printed wiring boards, optical parts such as lenses and prisms, and precision machine parts such as gears and lead frames by removing water from their surfaces after cleaning and surface treatments. A material (A) to be dried is introduced into a container (1), and the air in the container (1) is replaced with hot stream to heat the material (A). Then, the supply of hot steam is stopped, and the space in the container (1) is cooled under the condition where the container (1) is shut off from the open air. Finally, a dry gas is introduced into the container (1). An apparatus for this purpose comprises a cooling unit (8) for cooling the space in the container (1) for the material (A), a condensate discharge pipe (14) and a dry gas introduction pipe (7). The cooling unit (8) and the material (A) are thermally insulated by a support (11) for holding the material.
