    • A method for mounting and positioning an electric motor (1) in a motor seat (5). The motor (1) comprises a capacitor (4) projecting from the motor (1) and positioning means (11a, 12a) which couple with corresponding matching positioning means (9a, 10a) of the seat (5). The positioning means (12a, 11a) and the capacitor (4) are offset by an offset angle (α). The method comprises the stages of supporting the motor (1) by the drive shaft (3) to permit the motor (1) to rotate about the drive shaft (3) to permit the motor (1) to rotate about the drive shaft (3) by gravity. The rotation causes the capacitor (4) to abut against the angular stop means (35) located at a predetermined stop angle (β), rotating the motor (1) about the drive shaft (3) through a compensating angle (γ) so as to bring the positioning means (11a, 12a) into a position such as to allow coupling with the matching positioning means (9a, 10a) and mounting the motor (1) in the seat (5).

    • The present invention relates to useful ceiling fixture mounting apparatus and method of assembly that conceals various unsightly mechanical aspects of ceiling fixtures from view. The apparatus of the present invention includes canopy mounting assemblies and components for ceiling fixtures that are designed to conceal otherwise unsightly gaps and unused holes so that the ceiling fixture has a more aesthetically pleasing appearance. This invention also relates to a method of assembly of the ceiling fixture mounting apparatus which allows for mounting on electrical junction boxes which are not level with the ceiling surface, mounting on ceilings having an angle, such as cathedral ceilings, and mounting on ceilings having an uneven surface without creating unsightly gaps between the canopy and the ceiling, and which further conceals unsightly unused holes in the canopy.

    • An HVAC motor assembly for mounting to a housing includes a one-piece cover structure (120) including a generally cylindrical section (122) having an opening at one end thereof and a closed end (128) opposite the one end. A flange structure (132) extends from the cylindrical section. A first passage in the cover structure is in open communication with atmosphere and in communication with the interior. The first passage (137) communicates with a connector opening (138) in the cover structure. The first passage is sized to permit the connector, radially extending from the cylindrical portion of the motor, to pass therethrough and the connector opening receives tightly the connector to substantially prevent air from passing between the connector and the cover structure. A second passage (140) of the cover structure is in open communication with the interior and is in communication with the air flow passages of the motor so that air may circulate the motor. A vibration damping member is provided between the cylindrical portion of the motor and the cylindrical section of the cover structure to dampen vibration of the motor.
