摘要： A circuit breaker for a transformer includes means for interrupting circuitry in the transformer upon a fault condition in the transformer (the "fault interruption means"). The circuit breaker also includes means for interrupting the circuitry when a level of dielectric fluid in a tank of the transformer is unacceptably low (the "low oil trip means"). The fault interruption means includes a magnet, metal element, and first actuator. Upon the fault condition, the magnet and metal element separate, moving the first actuator to cause the electrical circuitry to open. The low oil trip means includes a float, insulating rod, and second actuator. When the dielectric fluid level drops to an unacceptably low level, the float and insulating rod drop, moving the second actuator to cause the circuitry to open. The low oil trip means operates independently of the fault interruption means, opening the circuitry without separating the magnet and metal element.

摘要： Resettable circuit interrupting devices, such as GFCI devices, that include reverse wiring protection, and optionally an independent trip portion and/or a reset lockout portion are provided. The reverse wiring protection operates at both the line and load sides of the device so that, in the event line side wiring to the device is improperly connected to the load side, fault protection for the device remains. The trip portion operates independently of a circuit interrupting portion used to break the electrical continuity in one or more conductive paths in the device. The reset lockout portion prevents the reestablishing of electrical continuity in open conductive paths if the circuit interrupting portion is non-operational or if an open neutral condition exists.

摘要： A circuit breaker control system (24) includes a motor driven fork assembly (36), activated from a remote location, for simultaneously opening all of the breaker load contacts (54) and locking them in an open position. A DC voltage is selectively applied to energize the reversible DC motor (32). The switch (66) at the remote location can be operated to enable a user-customer to return the breaker to operable condition at the breaker site. This is accomplished with an SCR circuit (70) that is enabled by the remote switch (66) and actuated by the user to operate the motor in a reverse direction to release the load contacts.
