    • A timekeeping system which includes a sensor for sensing a signalable event, a signalling device for transmitting an event signal representing the signalable event, a receiving device for receiving the event signal from the signalling device, a central controller device for issuing an instruction upon receipt by the receiving device of the event signal and a time clock interface device for interfacing with a time clock device which receives and implements the instruction issued by the central controller device. The event signal is preferably a radio frequency signal which is transmitted at a carrier frequency of at least about 900 megahertz, is preferably transmitted as a direct sequence broad spectrum transmission and preferably includes data which identifies the signalling device responsible for transmitting the event signal.

    • The invention concerns a wristwatch comprising in its case a resistive piezoelectric pressure and temperature sensor (26) exposed to a pressure chamber (42) communicating with the outside environment, for measuring ambient pressure. In order to provide individual calibration depending on temperature followed by a permanent correction of the sensor pressure signals, the latter is fixed to the lower surface of a printed circuit card (30) bearing the electronic circuits (35) processing the sensor signals. The calibration parameters are recorded in a non-volatile memory (36) of said circuits. A rigid and sealed separating partition (43) forms an internal floor separating the pressure chamber (42) from the watch sealed part.

    • A pulsometer whose detection result is indicated with high reliability. An SN state detecting means detects the SN state of pulse wave signals (Step S201). The SN state detecting means judges whether the detected SN state is normal or not in accordance with a predetermined threshold (Step S202). If it is judged that the SN state is normal, an indicating means outputs an indication control signal by which a pulse rate is indicated to an indication method switching means (Step S203). On the other hand, if it is judged that the SN state is not normal in the step S202, the indicating means does not indicate the pulse rate and an indication control signal by which no information is indicated at all is outputted to the indication method switching means (Step S204).
