    • A free-standing, compact size ergonomic computer keyboard. All the alphabetic, number and symbol keys are placed on the back side of the keyboard that are off sight of the operator. The positions of the keys on the back side are shown by a key indicia area on the front side of the keyboard, so that the operator can locate the keys on the back side. The layout of the keys is suitable for touch typing from the back side but still keeps most of the fingering of the QWERTY layout. 'F1'~'F12' keys, arrow keys, 'Insert', 'Delete', 'Esc' keys and the page control keys are placed on the upper part of the front side of keyboard to be operated by thumbs. 'Space', 'Backspace', 'Return', 'Shift', 'Ctrl', 'Alt', 'Caps Lock', 'Tab', 'Fn', 'Esc' and 'Delete' keys can be allocated onto four predefined key zones on the keyboard surface in different arrays and combinations. A cursor tracking device (mouse) is also integrated with the keyboard. During touch typing, the keyboard is held lightly in hands with or without the lower end of the keyboard stands on operator's lap or abdomen or on a table with the key indicia facing to the operator. The operator is free to sit, couch or even lie down on his back while typing.

    • The present product started in 2012 as an idea of the author to find a way to optimize and increase typing speed for smartphones during SMS or mail writing given that the existing methods are not optimized and they often cause difficulties, limitations or slow down text insertion. The technical problem to solve is "to develop an intelligent keyboard that is fast and intuitive, designed for devices using either a touchscreen keyboard (cell phones, smartphones and tablets as well as ticket emission machines, ATM machines, etc.) or a physical keyboard (many smartphones, old generation cell phones), which are used mostly with a single hand or even with a single finger in case of smaller devices ". The solution to this problem originates from blending together a few main ideas as stated below: 1) Creation of a new, well proportioned layout featuring hexagonal cells (FIG. 1) that is designed to diminish the distance traveled by the finger in order to reach all the keys in order to increase the typing speed; 2) Study of cryptoanalysis, i.e. the use frequency of letters in different languages (FIG. 2-5). Deciding the position of the letters in the above layout in an intelligent way visibly improves the efficiency, the intuitive use and speed of use as well as the use of intuitive and innate meccanisms of our brain such as mental associating and linking. 3) Completely changing the classic QWERTY layout (studied and developed in 1864 for two-handed use on very different devices) by moving the space key in the center of the new ad-hoc created layout (FIG. 1) and adding a bigger number of alphanumeric symbols thanks to the easily interchangeable supplementary layouts having the same structure (FIG. 6-7). The applicative field is on a world scale, the concerned technological ambits are many, ranging from telecommunications to any industrial appliance having a virtual keyboard, from teaching to information exchange.

    • A handheld wireless communication device includes features that make it easier to differentiate among various keys and to correctly select a desired key. It also includes features that make the device more comfortable to use. In particular, corner keys have decreasing height profiles to make above-adjacent keys easier to reach and distinguish. Additionally, lowermost, outermost portions of the corner keys may be somewhat truncated. Flanking keys in a navigation row slant toward and are flush with peripheral edges of a navigation tool assembly and have outer edges that are higher than inner edges of adjacent outer keys. The outer edges of the flanking keys may be hump-shaped or crowned. The longitudinally central portion of the device is narrower than the ends of the device, and the corners of the device are contoured to enhance comfort in a user's hand. Soft-touch materials are employed in hand-contacting portions of the device.
