摘要： An electro-mechanical lock for cargo containers or similar enclosed spaces such as storage units. The locking mechanism includes a dual-ratcheting mechanism, which is normally in the locked position, and which firmly secures doors of a container or other enclosure. To unlock the wireless interface or by, for example, a key pad. The device incorporates a rolling access code algorithm that changes the access code based upon a pre-defined customer selected time period during which the code is valid. Once the validity period expires the user must obtain a new access code from a secure access code source to unlock the device. When access is desired, the user contacts a remote secure access code source, which provides the access code for the associated lock and time period.

摘要： An apparatus (50) for securing a personal transport vehicle (PTV) such as a motorcycle or ATV to the bed of a truck includes a pair of elongated straight handlebar struts (51) telescopically adjustable to a length fixable by a first key lock (58). Each strut (51) has an upper hook (34) lockable by a second key lock (57) to a handlebar of a PTV, and a lower hook (56) securable to a truck bed, by a third key lock (59). The apparatus includes an elongated cross-lock arm (71) telescopically adjustable to a length fixable by a fourth, cross-lock arm key lock (76). Each cross-lock arm has at one end thereof a swivelable hook (79) for engaging a structural member of a PTV, and at the other end a fixed hook (74) for engaging a collar (65) protruding from the strut, the longitudinal position of which collar is adjustable on the strut. A pair of struts (51) and a pair of cross-lock arms (71) are used to secure a single vehicle, and a pair of vehicles is securable by a pair of struts and single cross-lock arm disposed between the vehicles.

The lock circuit includes a memory, a lock controller, a wireless module configured to receive information from at least one sensor associated with the container, the information regarding at least one property of the contents of the container, wherein the wireless module is configured to store the information in memory, wherein at least one of the wireless module or the sensor is powered wirelessly, and a lock controller configured to receive commands related to operation of the lock mechanism, to monitor the stored information to identify a change of state of the at least one sensor, and to generate chain of custody data to be transmitted to a remote location via the wireless module. The chain of custody data includes at least two of sensor data, an authentication code associated with the sensor, and/or an authentication code associated with the lock mechanism.

The system further includes a signal detector configured to receive a second signal, the second signal resulting from the first signal, and a signal analyzer configured to analyze the second signal to determine a profile of the second signal, retrieve stored data representing a signal profile indicative of the lock mechanism being coupled to the first and second portions of the container, compare the profile of the second signal to the stored signal profile, and determine that a relationship between the lock mechanism and the container has changed based on the comparison.

The latching mechanism includes a fluid chamber configured to hold a fluid, a piston slidably housed within the fluid chamber, and a valve coupled to the fluid chamber and configured to be in one of two states, the two states including an open state where fluid can flow through the valve in two directions to allow the piston to be moved in two directions, and a closed state where fluid is inhibited from flowing through the valve in at least one direction to prevent the piston from moving in at least one direction. The lock mechanism further includes a lock circuit at least partially enclosed within the housing, the lock circuit including memory, and a lock controller coupled to the memory and the latching mechanism and configured to receive commands related to the operation of the lock mechanism, wherein the lock controller is configured to cause the latching mechanism to be in one of the two states in response to the received commands.

摘要： The electronic security system comprises two sets of transmitters and receivers. A first transmitter (10) generates an energy carrying signal for a first receiver (14) in communication with the first transmitter. A memory unit (34) is at least partially powered by the energy carrying signal received by the first receiver. The memory unit stores a key code and a second transmitter (36) in communication with the memory unit generates a key code carrying signal. A second receiver (42) in communication with the second transmitter receives the key code carrying signal. The energy carrying signal is of a different frequency than the key code carrying signal to permit simultaneous transmission of both signals for faster transmission. Ultimately, an evaluation (54) unit in communication with the second receiver compares the key code with an unlocking code to determine if the key code matches the unlocking code.
