摘要： A method and apparatus for managing a collision in random access channel (RACH) access transmissions are disclosed. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) transmits WTRU-dependent information to confirm that a detected acquisition indicator (AI) is intended to the WTRU. The WTRU-dependent information may be transmitted separately after detecting the AI, may be transmitted along with a RACH preamble, or may be sent in an E-RACH message. The WTRU-dependent information may be a random number, a sequence or scrambling code randomly selected from a pre-determined set of sequences or scrambling codes. Alternatively, the WTRU-dependent information may be a pre-configured identifier, or information derived from the pre-configured identifier. Alternatively, after detecting an AI, the WTRU may randomly select an enhanced dedicated channel (E-DCH) resource from a set of E-DCH resources associated with an RACH resource used for transmission of the RACH preamble and transmit an E-RACH message using the selected E-DCH resource.

A wireless/transmit receive unit (WTRU) receives a plurality of high speed shared control channel (HS-SCCH) resources including radio resource control (RRC) configuration information for high speed downlink packet access (HSDPA), wherein the RRC configuration information includes dedicated pilot information associated with each received HS-SCCH resource. The WTRU detects a high speed downlink shared channel (HS-DSCH) radio network transmission identifier (H-RNTI) associated with the WTRU in one of the plurality of HS-SCCH resources. 摘要： A wireless-transmit-and-receiving unit (WTRU) supports receiving information via a plurality of multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) streams by providing a low-rank feedback report to a base station. The WTRU selects a preferred HS-PDSCH transmission rank, from a subset of ranks that the WTRU supports. The subset includes ranks that are lower than the maximum HS-PDSCH transmission rank supported by the WTRU. For example, for a WTRU that supports rank-4 reception, the subset may include rank-1 and rank-2. The WTRU generates the low-rank feedback report based on the preferred rank, and transmits the report to the base station.

摘要： A method and apparatus for signaling for multi - antenna transmission with precoding are disclosed. Precoder phase information may be signaled using bit sequences that provide a degree of error tolerance in that precoder phases having large differences are signaled using bit sequences having large Hamming distances. A method comprising: receiving at a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) a precoding indicator signal representing a sequence of signaling bits corresponding to a desired precoder phase value; obtaining the desired precoder phase value by comparing the sequence of signaling bits to a plurality of predetermined sequences of signaling bits in which pairs of predetermined sequences of signaling are opposites of each other and which correspond to precoder phase values that differ by 180 degrees; and, applying a set of weighting values to a WTRU uplink signal stream transmitted over multiple antennas where the set of weighting values have a phase differential equal to the desired precoder phase value.

摘要： Method and apparatus for uplink transmission using multiple antennas are disclosed. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) performs space time transmit diversity (STTD) encoding on an input stream of a physical channel configured for STTD. Each physical channel may be mapped to either an in-phase (I) branch or a quadrature-phase (Q) branch. The WTRU may perform the STTD encoding either in a binary domain or in a complex domain. Additionally, the WTRU may perform pre-coding on at least one physical channel including the E-DPDCH with the pre-coding weights, and transmitting the pre-coded output streams via a plurality of antennas. The pre-coding may be performed either after or before spreading operation.

A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) selects a dedicated channel medium access control (MAC-d) flow with highest priority data to be transmitted and performs uplink carrier selection and enhanced dedicated channel (E-DCH) transport format combination (E-TFC) restriction and selection to select a carrier among a plurality of carriers and select an E-TFC based on a maximum supported payload, a remaining scheduled grant payload of the selected carrier and a remaining non-scheduled grant payload. The WTRU then generates a medium access control (MAC) protocol data unit (PDU) for E-DCH transmission via the selected carrier based on the selected E-TFC.
