    • Disclosed is a process for covering a surface (1a) of a substrate (1) with a layer (2) of fluid material, said process being characterized by the following: (a) a containing wall (3) forming an enclosure and disposed at a distance and above the surface to be covered (1a), the lower edge (3a) of this wall forming a peripheral void (4) with the surface, said wall being used to define a processing chamber (5) which outlines an area (6) to be treated on said surface to be covered; (b) controlled negative pressure is established within the processing chamber (5), by means of the admission of an incoming gas stream (7) via the peripheral void (4), and of the extraction from the processing chamber of an outgoing gas stream (8), in order to obtain an internal pressure within said chamber which is lower than the external pressure; (c) a controlled fluid flow (10) is introduced into the processing chamber (5) under pressure, said flow comprising the fluid covering material which, together with the incoming gas stream (7), forms a turbulent flow in the peripheral void. Upon contact with the processed surface (1b), the turbulent flow is aspirated into the area (6) to be treated, depositing the fluid material in this area; the fluid flow is then evacuated with the outgoing gas stream (8).
