摘要： The present invention provides a method of producing oligomers of olefins, comprising reacting olefins with a catalyst under oligomerization conditions. The catalyst can be the product of the combination of a chromium compound and a pyridyl ether compound. In particular embodiments, the catalyst compound can be used to trimerize or tetramerize ethylene to 1 - hexene, 1 -octene, or mixtures of 1 -hexene and 1 -octene.

摘要： The invention provides a valve (10) for automatically controlling fluid flow in response to the tilting of the valve (10) from a first condition to a second condition. The valve (10) includes a valve housing (12) defining a passage (14) for fluid flow through the valve (10) from a valve inlet (16) to a valve outlet (20), and a valve closure (26) which is movable between a closed condition in which it prevents fluid flow through the valve passage (14) and an open condition in which it allows fluid flow through the valve passage (14). The valve (10) also includes a safety device (34) for effecting displacement of the valve closure (26) into the closed condition when the valve (10) is tilted from the first condition to the second condition. The safety device (34) includes a mass (36) which is automatically displaceable, under the effect of gravity, when the valve (10) is tilted towards or into the second condition, and the safety device (34) is arranged so that the automatic displacement of the mass (36) causes or allows the valve closure (26) to be displaced into the closed condition.

The pump (118) includes a cylinder (140), and a piston (142) which is displaceable relative to the cylinder (140) so that liquid fuel is drawn into the cylinder (140) when the piston and cylinder are displaced in a first direction relative to one another, and the liquid fuel is pumped out of the cylinder (140) when the piston and cylinder are displaced in a second, opposite direction relative to one another. The pump (118) also includes an inlet valve (144) for allowing liquid fuel to be drawn into the cylinder (140) from the reservoir (116), an outlet valve (146) for allowing liquid fuel to be pumped out of the cylinder (140) to the burner head (114), and a displaceable mass which due to its weight applies sufficient force to cause displacement of the piston (142) relative to the cylinder (140) in the second direction, thereby to pump liquid fuel out of the cylinder (140) to the burner head (114).

摘要： Ligands, compositions, metal-ligand complexes and arrays with substituted bridged bis-biaromatic ligands and method of making and using the same, are disclosed that are useful in the catalysis of transformations such as the polymerization of monomers into polymers. The catalyts have high performance characteristics, including higher comonomer incorporation into ethylene/olefin copolymers, where such olefins are for exmaple, 1-octene, propylene or styrene. The catalysts also polymerize propylene into isotactic polypropylene.
