    • Apparatus for unloading articles from a moulding apparatus tiaving a plurality of moulds is disclosed. The unloading apparatus comprises a support and a plurality of holder pairs rotatably connected to the support. Each holder pair is configured to hold at least one said article, wherein the holder pairs are movable to release the article(s) held thereon. Also disclosed is a system for moulding articles, comprising a rotational mould apparatus having a plurality of moulds and means for driving the apparatus between a fill position and an unload position, wherein the spatial position of the apparatus when in the fill position is different to the spatial position of the apparatus when in the unload position. A manufacturing system and plant for manufacturing moulded articles comprises at least one unit. The unit comprises at least one article moulding system as described above and corresponding said article unloading apparatus as described above for unloading articles from a corresponding said article moulding system.

    • A device (100) for spinal stabilization includes bone anchors (110a, 110b), a metal cord (120), and a spacer (130). The materials of the cord (120) and spacer (130) are chosen to allow the physician to customize the stiffness of the stabilization device (100) based on a particular patient's needs. Each bone anchor (110a, 110b) has a clamping mechanism (150) for securing the cord (120) to the bone anchor (110a, 110b). In an assembled and implanted state of the device (100), the spacer (130) is positioned between two neighboring bone anchors (110a, 110b), thereby impeding the motion of the bone anchors toward each other; the cord (120) is clamped to the bone anchors, thereby impeding the motion of the bone anchors away from each other. By increasing or decreasing the tension in the cord (120) during implantation, the physician can create a stabilization device (100) that is either relatively stiff or relatively flexible to accommodate the specific needs of the patient.
