摘要： The disclosed embodiments relate to methods and systems for avoiding a collision between an aircraft on the ground and an obstacle using a three-dimensional visual indication of the area or plane of winglets on the wingtips of the aircraft. The method includes receiving a video image from a camera positioned in one of the winglets, the video image representing a field of view through which the winglet of the aircraft will pass along a present heading of the aircraft. Next a processor determines a three-dimensional area or plane within the field of view through which the winglet of the aircraft will pass. An overlay is displayed within the field of view to assist the pilot in avoiding collisions with obstacles within the field of view.

摘要： Disclosed is a runway alerting method and system for a landing an aircraft. The method includes determining stopping positions for the aircraft along the runway using aircraft energy state, deceleration and braking information and displaying the stopping positions on a display. A system is provided that includes a first apparatus that is configured to determine an aircraft speed relative to the ground, a second apparatus that is configured to determine the aircraft's position, and a third apparatus that can provide information about the runway of intended landing. A flight system coupled to the first and second apparatus is configured to determine a minimum and corporate stopping position for the aircraft using the aircraft speed and the position relative to the runway. The minimum and corporation stopping positions are presented to the aircraft pilot on a display to as assist the pilot in safely landing the aircraft.

摘要： An anode-limited battery and method of assembly are provided in which a lithium anode subassembly is constructed from two pieces of lithium foil. An elongated thicker piece of lithium foil is cohesively bonded at one end to a shorter, thinner piece of lithium foil. An optional current collector stabilizes the area of the cohesive bond. The thicker lithium foil forms the inner windings of a coiled electrode, which face reactive cathode material on both sides. The thinner foil forms the outermost winding, which faces reactive cathode material on only one side. Thus, an appropriate amount of lithium is available for cathode discharge. The method of electrode assembly allows a narrow tolerance of the lithium anode such that the benefits of an anode-limited cell may be realized.

摘要： A circuit arrangement enables an implanted medical device (IMD) to distinguish between a radio frequency (RF) signal and noise that is transmitted by an external programming unit. In an example embodiment, the IMD includes a receiver circuit a counter circuit counts edges of the demodulated signal occurring within a selected time period. A decoder circuit of the receiver circuit decodes the demodulated signal and compares the number of edges counted with a valid signal before the decoded signal is transmitted to a telemetry processor of the IMD. The receiver circuit also includes a validation circuit that verifies the validity of the decoded signal before transmitting the decoded signal to the telemetry processor.
