    • A downhole hydraulic jetting assembly is provided herein. The assembly is useful for steerably jetting multiple lateral boreholes into a subsurface formation from an existing parent wellbore of any inclination. The assembly is useful for single trip completions or recompletion through the placement of multiple lateral boreholes. The assembly includes an external system wherein coiled tubing and a whipstock member are run into a wellbore. The assembly further includes an internal system that is run into the wellbore housed within the external system, but which allows a nozzle at the end of the hose to be directed against a wellbore exit location after the whipstock member is located and set. A window may be formed through casing using the jetting hose and nozzle, followed by the formation of a lateral bore hole. The whipstock may be re-located and/or re-oriented for the jetting of additional casing exits and lateral boreholes in the same trip.

    • A system for establishing hydraulic communication between a relief well and a target well, wherein a relief well is drilled to include a portion of the target wellbore that is axially offset from and substantially parallel to a portion of the relief wellbore. Thereafter, a milling system is disposed in the relief well and utilized to mill a casing window that is facing the target well. The portion of the relief well is positioned so that fluid introduced into the relief well will flow through the formation to the target well. To enhance the flow, the formation and/or the casing of the target well may be perforated, milled or partially drilled. A latch coupling disposed in the relief well casing may be utilized to engage a latch on of the milling and or a perforating tool in order to ensure proper orientation relative to the target well.

    • A wellbore machining device is proposed for machining a tubular component (1) of a wellbore. The device comprises a control unit (3) at the surface level of the wellbore and a down-hole tool unit (5) connected to the control unit (3) through a wire line (7). The tool unit (5) comprises an elongated guide member (17), a tool member (9) movably supported on the guide member (17) with respect to at least three axes of motion and a plurality of actuators (11) controlled by the control unit (3) and adapted to move the tool member (9) with respect to the axes of motion. The tool unit (5) further comprises two anchor members (21) each mounted to an axial end of the guide member (17) and adapted to releasably clamp the tool unit (5) to the tubular component (1). The control unit (3) and the tool unit (5) form a computer numerical control device (CNC device) wherein the actuators (11) are electric servo motors controlling an actual position of the tool member (9) with respect to a path and/or a sequence of desired position defined by the control unit (3).
