    • A coupling piece for frame-works, panels or the like, adapted to be connected in a corner thereof said coupling piece comprising two legs, at least one thereof being provided with a recess having a coupling pin directed parallel to a border edge of said leg for coupling, by means of a coupling element, said coupling piece with another coupling piece having a leg positioned against the corresponding leg of said first coupling piece so that a rotational movement around said pin is possible, a border portion of said legs being rounded around the pin in question in such a manner that the roundings of both mutually coupled legs are allowed to roll around each other. According to the invention the coupling element (13) consists of two pins (15, 16) interconnected by a bridge (14), the leg (2) in question is provided with two bores (9, 10) which are symmetrical in respect of the longitudinal median plane and is open into the recess (7) in question, in which bores (9, 10) a pin (15, 16) of a coupling element (13) fits in a slidable way, the interaxial distance of the pins (15, 16) of a coupling element (13) being substantially equal to the interaxial distance of said bores (9, 10) and the rounding (11) consists of two parts having an axis coinciding with the axis of the adjacent bore (9, 10), and having radius which is substantially equal to half the interaxial distance of said bores (9, 10), all this in such a manner that, when interconnecting two coupling pieces (1) by means of such a coupling element (13), a rotation around the axes of both pins (15, 16) with a rolling movement of the roundings (11) in question on each other is allowed.

    • A hinge comprises a pair of members (10, 12) hinged along adjoining edges by means of a resilient clip (14) formed with a pair of arms each having at its extremity an inturned flange (18) terminating in an axle formation (20). The hinged edge of each member (10, 12) has an axially slotted sleeve formation (26) engaged through its slot by the turned flange (18) and axle (20) of one arm of the clip (14) to rotatably locate the member (10, 12) and is provided on its outer surface with spur gear teeth (28) that mesh with corresponding teeth on the sleeve of the member on the other arm of the clip. A stabilised angular position of said members is defined and as said members are rotated towards said stabilised position a gear tooth of one of said members having a root depth (30) reduced to interfere with the meshing tooth of the other of said members crosses from one side to the other of the line (32) between the centres of the axle formations. The arms are urged apart as the reduced depth tooth (30') passes said line (32) and the resilience of the clip (14) holds said members (10, 12) in said stabilised position.

    • A hinge consisting of a fixed part (3), which is so arranged as to be attached to a door frame (1) and a moving part (4), which is so arranged as to support a door (5) so that it is free to swing. The hinge is designed to be fitted inside the door, so that it is concealed with the door in its closed position, and incorporates a mechanism which, as the door swings, will cause the pivoting shaft of the door to move away from the door frame, thereby providing clearance for the door to swing. The fixed part (3) and the moving part (4) are connected by means of a slide having a preferably rectilinear motion. The mechanism consists of a gear drive (7, 12-18) via which the swinging motion of the door imparts a sliding motion between the fixed and the moving part.
