    • Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Schneiden von Brot (B) in Brotscheiben (S), mit mindestens einem, vorzugsweise exzentrisch, umlaufenden Kreismesser (14), welches zwischen einem Zuführabschnitt (3) zum Zuführen des zu schneidenden Brots (B) zum Messer (14) und einem Abführabschnitt (4) zum Aufnehmen der geschnittenen Brotscheiben (S) geführt ist, sowie mit mindestens einer Schubeinrichtung (21) zum Schieben des Brots (B) vom Zuführabschnitt (3) zum Messer (14). Die erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass im Zuführ- und/oder im Abführabschnitt (3, 4) in und gegen die Schubrichtung (P) des Brots (B) oder der Brotscheiben (S) zumindest ein hin und her bewegbares Abstreifmittel (28, 30, 34, 36) vorgesehen ist zur Mitnahme von Verunreinigungen, insbesondere Krümeln, Mehl, Staub etc., im Zuführ- bzw. Abführabschnitt (3, 4) zumindest in die Schubrichtung (P) oder in die entgegengesetzte Richtung.
