摘要： The invention relates to a device and to a method for controlling the playback of a file of signals to be reproduced. The devices and methods of the prior art do not make it possible to control the playback of an audio file by means of the strokes of a user while guaranteeing high-quality musical rendition. The invention resolves said problem by providing a means for controlling said playback by means of strokes entered via a MIDI interface or measured by one or more motion sensors. Variations in playback speed can also be smoothed out in order to guarantee better musical rendition. The speed of the strokes can also be taken into account for controlling the volume of the audio output and other gestures or strokes can also control the tremolo or vibrato.

Ferner werden Musikdatenträger für den Endverbraucher vorgeschlagen, bei denen auch einzelne Stimmen im Mehrkanalverfahren und gegebenenfalls auch Taktnummern-Angaben aufgezeichnet sind, die auch einen eigenen Codierungsstandard aufweisen können. Auch ist vorgesehen, diese Medien mit Mehrspuraufzeichnugen von Tonsignalen zur individuell einstellbaren Wiedergabe (z.B. Lautstärke, Klangfarbe) für einzelne von mehreren Tonquellen oder-gruppen zu versehen und die Wiedergabegeräte entsprechend auszurüsten. Diese Geräte können auch so gestaltet sein, dass sie verschiedene Tonträgercodierungen erkennen bzw. darauf einstellgestellt werden können. Eine fortbildende Variante lässt die Wiedergabe in zumindest einem der Parameter wie Geschwindigkeit, Lautstärke, etc. zeitnah verändern, indem Dirigatbewegungen eines Zuhörers erfasst, ausgewertet und auf die Wiedergabe im sinne einer Steuerung oder Regelung rückgekoppelt werden. 摘要： The invention permits the generation of multipurpose control signals by tracking movement that occurs within a field of view. In particular, a ''Guest Controlled Orchestra'' utilizing these inventive principles permits a layman guest to step into the shoes of an orchestra conductor, and through image processing, conduct the performance of a prerecorded music score. A video camera captures a field of view encompassing the guest for generation of a digital image. The field of view is sampled in left and right windows and the intensity of pixels within the windows are compared with a past image to determine if intensity change exceeds a predetermined threshold. A center of movement is computed for each window by averaging coordinates of each such pixel, and the centers of movement stored for future use. By analyzing change in centers of movement, tempo and volume are derived. Volume is derived from the quantity of pixels that correspond to the predetermined intensity change, and which therefore represent movement. Prerecorded audio data are formatted into MIDI audio commands, and together with video frame advance commands, are processed and output in response to these derived signals.
