The support (5) is connected to a compressed air source by means of a flexible hose (11) and to a high voltage source by means of a collectorcable (13) which is connected to each gun (8) by means of a high voltage cable (14) passing through each hollow arm (7). Each arm (7) is fixed by a mandrel (47) with a longitudinal motion and pivotingly at least about one axis. The gun (8) is supported by the free end of the arm (7) so as to pivot at least about one transverse axis, and is connected to one of a plurality of orifices (32) of the container (6) by means of a flexible hose (44) and an injector (40). The container (6) comprises a stirrer and processing means associated with each orifice (32). The guns (8) which are adjustable independently of each other may be operated and controlled independently by means of injectors (40) so that a variation of the spraying of one gun has no influence on the spraying capacity of other guns.

The nozzle is configured for the aim of the nozzle to be controlled to change its aiming direction in response to a change in curvature of the rail, whereby a stream of air from the nozzle impacts the determined portion during movement of the vehicle through the curvature of the rail.

The low turbulence zone is defined by a baffle inside the hopper with the low turbulence zone being within a volume of the baffle, and an annular zone between the baffle and the hopper is used to bulk feed powder into the hopper. The low turbulence zone may alternatively be in the annular zone with powder added to the volume of the baffle. One preferred application for this hopper is in connection with the use of fine powder coating materials to coat the interior of small diameter cans.

In another embodiment, the present invention provides a real time powder sieving system wherein the vibrating apparatus is immersed in a powder container for sucking the powder through the powder suction tube. The powder pump assembly of the vibrating apparatus has a compressed air inlet which creates a suction to force the powder along with air present around powder particles to pass through a sieve section and an anti-blinding section of the vibrating sieving apparatus thereby ensuring that powder is being sucked as freshly sieved separated particles.

The control valve is operable between a first position for applying suction from the at least one suction source to the hopper, and an second position providing an exterior opening in at least one of the control valve and the first extraction duct (128) for exhausting pressurized fluid from the hopper (102) and/or collecting at least some of the air and powder that is exhausted from the powder.
