摘要： A method and system of safe medication dispensing includes a smart medication container that includes a sensor and a signal transmitter and a smartphone that includes a processor, memory, local storage, and a signal receiver. A software application on the patients smartphone inputs one or more of the patients medications including the dosage, dosage schedule, and number of doses on hand. The software application alerts the patient to take a specific medication according to the medications dosage schedule. The sensor senses when the patient opens the smart medication container and the signal transmitter transmits a status signal to the smartphone indicating the status of the container. Upon receiving the status signal, the software application updates the patients dosage schedule. The software application may prompt the patient for refills, to log, or to report the taking of the medication to a third-party monitor.

摘要： A method and apparatus for monitoring and/or managing adherence to a medication regimen that involves use of a sensor. Dispensing medicine from a container commonly involves pressure being applied to the container, which results in expansion of the container. In some embodiments, pressure is applied by a user through an aperture of the apparatus. In some embodiments, a processor monitors pressure sensor data from a pressure sensor that is physically coupled to the container and arranged such that activation of the pressure sensor indicates the container has expanded in response to the user applying pressure. A processor analyzes the pressure sensor data to determine whether medicine has been dispensed from the container. A computer system can compare the dispensed medication to a planned medication regimen to determine a state of compliance with the medication regimen.

摘要： A computerised identity matching management process for the supply of a pharmaceutical substance to an authorised person. The process identifies a person who is requesting the supply of the substance which includes the steps of a management computer receiving a request, from capture apparatus waiting to commence a biometric capture process representative of the person to initiate the capture process. The management computer responds to the request to return a message to the capture apparatus at a first instant in time, the message containing a unique code, and receipt of the message containing the code at the capture apparatus causes initiation of the capture process. The management computer, after returning the message, receives a captured biometric representative of the person from the capture apparatus coded with the code, at a second instant in time. The management computer operates, when the second instant is less than a predetermined time later than the first instant, to decode the captured biometric and initiate a matching process to find a match for the decoded captured biometric against stored biometric records and to retrieve an identification code representative of the person when a match is found. The management computer retrieves a date stamp and uses the identification code to retrieve a data record of the person which includes at least a substance the person is prescribed, a quantity in which the substance is to be supplied and a date at which the substance is to be supplied and determines whether the date stamp matches the date at which the substance is to be supplied. If a match is determined, the substance is supplied in the prescribed quantity and information is recorded to form a record to update the supply of the substance to the person.

摘要： A computerised identity matching management process for the supply of a pharmaceutical substance to an authorised person. The process identifies a person who is requesting the supply of the substance which includes the steps of a management computer receiving a request, from capture apparatus waiting to commence a biometric capture process representative of the person to initiate the capture process.
