摘要： A device for use in retracting a gingiva from a human tooth by widening a gingival sulcus with a dental composition. The device comprises a cannula with a free end having an opening for dispensing the dental composition. The free end is shaped to be inserted with its front in the entry of the gingival sulcus, and to laterally displace the gingiva from the tooth as the cannula is moved in the gingival sulcus. The invention may help to achieve a reliable and cost effective gingival retraction treatment.

摘要： The invention features a composition which can or is to be used in a dental retraction, the composition comprising a liquid and a layer type 1:1 silicate mineral and a layer type 2:1 silicate mineral in a ratio from about 50/50 to 5/95 wt.-% with respect to each other. The invention also relates to a container containing the dental retraction composition and to a kit comprising parts A and B, wherein part A comprises the dental retraction composition and part B comprises at least one accessory selected from the group of applier, dental impression material, retraction cap(s), a container for storing and dispensing the composition and combinations thereof. The invention further features a process of dispensing a dental retraction composition, the process comprising the steps: providing a dental retraction composition contained in a container, placing the container in an applier, and using the applier for dispensing the dental retraction composition out of the container.

摘要： The invention includes a piston having a piston body (1) and front seal for sealing the gap between the side wall of the piston body and the wall of a chamber within which the piston and a material are disposed in a conventional manner. The front seal (5) has a leading edge (6) included angle (A) as defined below, and a trailing edge (7) included angle (B) that is smaller than the leading edge included angle. By the appropriate selection of these two angles, the force required to move the piston (and thus the material) is optimized, the force required to move the piston (and thus the material) is optimized, which results in a more useful dispenser than conventional syringe- type dispensers. These and other features of the present invention are described in greater detail below.

摘要： A capsule for mixing and dispensing a dental material which has a body forming a cavity. The cavity is closed by a liquid container. The body and the liquid container in combination form a mixing chamber containing a first component of the dental material. The liquid container has a cup-shaped cartridge formed by a cartridge front wall and a cartridge side wall and having a rear opening. A plug is movably joined within the cartridge through the rear opening for extruding a liquid second component of the dental material. The cartridge further has a channel extending through the cartridge side wall for releasing the second component into the mixing chamber. The body side wall inwardly has a recess being dimensioned for establishing a fluid communication between the channel and the cavity in an activated position, where the activated position corresponds to a second axial position of a two different axial positions of the of the cartridge and the body relative to each other. Further the first axial position corresponds to an inactivated position in which the channel is offset from the recess. A first cover film seals the joint between the cartridge and the plug, and the channel is openably sealed by a second cover film at least in the inactivated position. The capsule helps facilitating the preparation of a dental material.

The dispenser is operable by twisting the cover and the handle relative to each other in a dispensing direction for dispensing material and, alternatively, in an opposite closing direction. The container having an outlet for the material and the cover having a dispensing opening. The container and the cover are arranged relative to each other for a rotation between a closed position, in which the cover closes the outlet, and an open position, in which the dispensing opening opens the outlet. A first engagement mechanism is provided for enabling the container and the handle to engage with each other in at least one angular position during twisting in the closing direction. The first engagement mechanism further forming a freewheel mechanism with respect to a rotation in the dispensing direction. The first engagement mechanism has a first snap-stop for providing the engagement between the handle and the container and for impeded disengagement when engaged. A second engagement mechanism is provided for enabling the rotation of the container and the cover in an angular range between the closed position and the open position and restricting a rotation outside that range. The second engagement mechanism has a second snap-stop for providing the restriction between the container and the cover with respect to a twisting toward the dispensing direction and providing for an impeded disengagement when engaged in the open position. The first snap-stop provides for an impeding force to be overcome for disengagement and the second snap-stop provides for a snap-in force to be overcome for engagement. The first and second snap-stop are configured such that the impeding force is greater than the snap-in force.
