    • The invention relates to a high-pressure discharge lamp having a discharge vessel (10) with a ceramic wall (1) which is closed at one end by a plug. The plug (2) is provided with an electrode (3) arranged in the discharge vessel (10). The ceramic wall (1) and the plug (2) are jointed by a fusion joint (4). The fusion joint (4) comprises an alloy comprising substantially molybdenum and aluminum. Preferably, the fusion joint (4) comprises a material selected from the group formed by Al 8 Mo 3 , Al 63 Mo 37 , AL 63 Mo 37 , AlMo, AlMo 3 and combinations of said materials. Preferably, the plug (2) comprises a material selected from the group formed by molybdenum, tungsten and combinations of said materials. Preferably, the ceramic wall (1) comprises aluminum nitride. According to the invention, the plug (2) has a high corrosion resistance.

    • A rechargeable fuel cell system (2) comprises a first electrochemical cell (4) to oxidize an alkali formate (20) and an alkali hydroxide (22) to an alkali carbonate (30) and water (32) and having an electrical output unit (50) for obtaining electrical energy produced thereby. The rechargeable fuel cell system (2) further comprises a second electrochemical cell (6) to reduce an alkali carbonate (30) and water (32) to an alkali formate (20), an alkali hydroxide (22) and oxygen (24) and having electrical input unit (52) for providing electrical energy thereto. The first and second electrochemical cells (4;6) are connected with each other for enabling a flow of fluids (8a;8b) between the cells. The rechargeable fuel cell system (2) according to the invention reduces in its reduction process (42) only fluids, specifically the alkali carbonate (30) and water (32). The reduction process is a fast chemical process, as the system does not need a gas as an input component in its reduction process (42).
