    • A structural band saw blade (10, 110) is defined by a plurality of teeth (12, 112) spaced relative to each other with variable height and set, and a back edge (46, 146) located on the opposite side of the blade relative to the cutting edge. Each tooth of the band saw blade defines a tip (40, 140), a rake face (42, 142) formed on one side of the tip, a primary clearance surface (44, 144) formed on the opposite side of the tip relative to the rake face, a secondary clearance surface (48, 148) adjacent to the primary surface, and a tertiary clearance surface (50, 150) adjacent to the secondary surface. A rake face protrusion (54, 154) is formed opposite the rake face relative to the tip and extends over one end of a weld zone (52, 152) and projects outwardly relative to a plane of the rake face. One or both the secondary and tertiary surfaces projects outwardly from the rake face plane opposite the protrusion to form an increased tooth thickness at the weld zone and prevent tooth strippage.

    • A wood cutting band saw blade (10) includes a cutting edge (14) and a back edge (16), wherein the cutting edge is defined by a plurality of teeth (17, 17') spaced relative to each other. The plurality of teeth include a plurality of set teeth each having a tip (20, 20'), each defining a bend plane (18), and each including a shelf (30, 30') located at least partially between the tip and the bend plane for reducing saw dust passing to the kerf and accumulating on the band saw blade. Each of the set teeth may define a relief surface (244', 244'') and a cutting surface (224', 224'') where the relief surface extends from one side of the tip in a direction opposite that of the movement of the band saw blade and the cutting surface extends from another side of the tip. The shelf includes a shelf surface (34, 34') extending from the cutting surface (24, 24') and may terminate in a shelf tip (36, 36').

    • The invention concerns a handsaw comprising a blade (2) with a tooth line (4), and a handle (1) with a handgrip part (9) and an attachment part (10) forming a blunt angle with the handgrip part. The blade can be located at different angles relative to the handle by means of a joint (11) and is provided with a number of peripherally separated recesses into which a pin (17) of a spring loaded locking mechanism can be inserted. In one out of four lockable positions the handgrip part (9) of the handle extends from the attachment part (10) to the rear with a down-ward slope relative to a conceived line L extending from the tooth line (4) of the blade. In this way the handgrip (9) gets a good distance from an adjacent support surface for a workpiece, while in another position the hand of the user can apply a rearward pulling force and get a downward force component pressing the teeth of the blade into the bottom of the sawn kerf.
