Theresin composition forms a cured resin when exposed to a curing a gent and heated to a curing temperature that is relatively close to ambient temperature. The resin composition includes a resin component that is composed of a liquid part that is made up of one or more liquid thermosetting resins and a solid part that includes particles of one or more solid thermosetting resins. The liquidpart further includes a gelation agent that is present in a suff icient amount to maintain the particles in suspension within the liquid part at ambient temperatures. The viscosity of the resin component changes from a high viscosity state to a low viscosity state when the temperature is increased from ambient temperature to the curing temperature. The high viscosity state is substantially more viscous than the low viscosity state.

The grooves (8) serve to diffuse flow at the surface of the perforated (6) layer so as to reduce the pressure drop across the layer and thereby reduce the migration of fines. 摘要： A ballistic composite comprises multiple layers of a fabric having unidirectional ballistic resistant yarns in at least two layers and a resin layer between each pair of such multiple layers adhered to the ballistic resistant yarns but not encapsulation the same and not penetrating the layer of fabric. The ballistic yarn layers are at 90° ± 5° with respect to each other and the ballistic resistant yarns are stabilized by being woven in a second fabric. The second fabric is formed of yarns having a substantially lower tenacity and tensile modulus than the ballistic resistant yarn. The ballistic resistant yarns have a tenacity of at least about 15 grams per denier and a modulus of at least about 40 grams per denier. The resin in the resin layer has a modulus of at least about 7000 psi.

摘要： The present invention is directed to an elastic composite material having an elastic layer having a first side and a second side; at least one gatherable layer bonded to at least one of the first side and second side of the elastic layer; and a fibrous material entangled and intertwined with both the elastic layer and the gatherable layer. The resulting elastic composite provides a stretchable material which can conform to surfaces and has desirable properties of the fibrous material entangle and intertwined with both the elastic layer and the gatherable layer and does not suffer from the loss of the fibrous material from the stretchable substrate. The composite is usable in as bandages, durable wipes, durable mops and personal care products, such as diapers and feminine napkins. Also disclosed is a method for making the composite.

摘要： A prepreg which comprises a reinforcing fiber, a reinforcing fiber base material in a sheet form having a reinforcing fiber, and a matrix resin, and has a portion not impregnated with the resin as a passage in evacuation, wherein the portion not impregnated with the resin is formed by a method comprising impregnating the reinforcing fiber base material in a sheet form with the matrix resin from one side thereof with a resin impregnation percentage of 35 to 95 %; a method comprising placing the matrix resin on both sides of the reinforcing fiber base material in a sheet form in such a way that the portion not impregnated with the resin is present in a continuous fashion inside the base material; or a method comprising forming a resin-impregnated part (an island part) having the matrix resin and a fiber part (a sea part) having no resin, on the surface of at least one side of the base material, in such a way that the resin covers 3 to 80 % of the surface and the island part accounts for 40 % or more of the weave texture of the base material. The above prepreg provides, even when it is formed by the use of the vacuum pressure alone, a FRP which is free of voids in the inside and pinholes on the surface thereof and exhibits excellent appearance.

摘要： There is provided a nonwoven elastic laminate closure tab of the invention comprising adjacent first and second nonwoven closure elements each having a first face and a second face and a coextruded film elastic attached to each closure element first face. The first face of each closure element has a first area coated with a pressure sensitive adhesive and a second area adjacent the first area free of pressure-sensitive adhesive at terminal ends of the nonwoven closure elements. The coextruded film elastic has two first regions each having at least one inelastic zone and a second region between the two first regions having at least one elastic zone. The two opposing first regions are attached to the two pressure-sensitive adhesive areas of the two closure elements respectively such that the second adhesive free areas of the two adjacent closure elements are in face to face contact with at least a portion of the coextruded elastic film elastic second region. The layers are all of a thickness such that the thickness variation across the closure tab is less than 50%.
