摘要： A filter cartridge (10), in this case comprising an injection moulded cylindrical plastics body (11) having spaced anti-tracking ribs (12) which are disposed unevenly along the inner surface (13) of the hollow body (11). First and second paper rolls as filter elements (14 and 15) have been pushed under compression into the hollow body (11) and are separated by spacer means (16) located centrally within the hollow body (11). Spacer means (16) is made from two separate spacers (18) which are generally made in the form of a spoked wheel type arrangement. Each spacer (18) comprises an outer ring (19) and an inner ring (20), the inner ring (20) has four apertures or recesses (21) on its top and offset by 45 degrees equally on its opposite side are four more equally spaced apertures (21) making a total of eight, the apertures provide flow through passages (21) through the inner ring (20), plastic connector portions (22) extend radially between the rings (19 and 20).

摘要： The invention relates to a system comprising an installation made up of membrane filters and which is characterised in that the fluid to be filtered is first supplied to the installation so that it flows in a determined direction and subsequently the fluid is supplied to the installation in the opposite direction. The installation comprises valve devices which are used to regulate the flow of the fluid that is supplied and to mix the flow of the fluid supplied to the installation through different points of the installation. The filters disposed in the installation are directly connected to one another in such a way that tubes external to said filters are not required. The filter used in said system is characterised in that its structure allows the flow of the fluid to be reversed.

摘要： The present invention provides a mechanical lock for securing one or more filters within a filtration device and methods for producing the mechanical lock. The use of an interference fit punch causes a portion of the inner surface of the wall to be skived and rolled along the wall until it reaches the desired location where it forms a mechanical crimp to retain the one or more filters within the device. In one embodiment, the inner surface has an inwardly taper. In the other, it has straight walls or outwardly tapered walls. The use of a gasket such as an O-ring on top of the filter before the wall is skived provides a liquid tight seal.

摘要： A screen cylinder is made up of a plurality of identical ceramic elements in arcuate form having screen openings, and opposite longitudinally extending edges carrying a tongue and groove, respectively. The elements are joined one to the other along their edges by inserting the tongues into the grooves to form a complete cylinder. Different diameter and lengths of screen cylinders may be formed by varying the number of elements in each closed arrangement of elements, and the closed arrangements may be disposed end-to-end with an intermediate connecting ring between them. End rings are provided to maintain the elements in a generally cylindrical configuration. Cinch rods connected between the end rings and under tension subject the elements in assembly to axial compression.
