摘要： A polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-based portable analyzing apparatus is provided, which is compact-sized and portable for a point-of-care-testing (POCT) use, and which provides greatly improved PCR speed and thus enables POCT, and which is capable of collecting fluorescence efficiently without requiring an expensive imaging element and adaptively dealing with changes in a sample pattern. The portable analyzing apparatus includes a sample processing unit to perform a biochemical reaction using an injected sample, a thin film thermoelectric element arranged in a manner in which a first surface thermally contacts with the sample processing unit and includes terminals to receive a supply of variable power, and a control unit to precision-control temperature of the first surface by supplying the variable power to the thin film thermoelectric element through the terminals, and provide the sample processing unit with temperature which is necessary for the biochemical reaction.

摘要： There is provided a remote monitoring system and method which is capable of collectively monitoring and managing objects with ease and efficiency at a remote place. The remote monitoring system and method includes an integration apparatus with a monitoring function, a communication function and a video providing function which is installed in a residence of an object to be monitored. The remote monitoring system and method has an advantage of constantly monitoring motion of the object at a local control center, informing the object that the local control center attempts to confirm a video in occurrence of abnormality of the object, and then confirming the video to visually seize the presence or not of abnormality, thereby correctly seizing the presence or not of abnormality of the object based on a pattern of life of the object and minimizing possibility of trespass on the object's privacy. In addition, the remote monitoring system and method has an advantage of allowing a local control center to adjust grounds for abnormality decision according to forms of residence and life style of an object to be monitored, and extremely simplifying a configuration of the integration apparatus, thereby reducing an installation burden while allowing effective remote management reflecting situations of individual objects to be monitored.

摘要： The discharging electrode socket of a corona discharged ionizer according to this invention is an apparatus that ionizes CDA (clean dried air) spouted from nozzles and transfers generated ions effectively in order to eliminate electrostatic charges accumulated on a charged object. The purpose of this invention is to improve efficiencies of eliminating electrostatic charges and to prevent contamination of the discharging electrode by minimizing the amount of spouted CDA to reduce the pressure drop in the air chamber and by increasing the spouting pressure to increase spouting distance and spouting velocity, which are accomplished by improving the cross sectional area, shape, and position of spouting nozzles comprised in the discharging electrode socket which is one of the main parts of a corona discharged ionizer. This invention provides a discharging electrode socket in which the cross sectional area of the spouting nozzle is very small compared to a previous socket, in which the nozzle is completely separated from the discharging electrode or it does not surround the whole discharging electrode, in which more than two nozzles are arranged parallel to the axis of the discharging electrode.

摘要： Digital broadcasting transmission/reception systems capable of improving the synchronization acquisition and the equalization performance, and signal processing methods thereof. The digital broadcasting transmission/reception systems include a FEC encoder encoding an incoming signal according to a FEC scheme, a sync signal insertion unit inserting into the encoded signal a segment sync signal including modified segment syncs, a pilot insertion unit inserting a pilot signal into the sync-inserted signal, a pulse shaping filter pulse-shaping the pilot-inserted signal with a roll-off factor, and a RF unit transmitting the pulse-shaped signal through a transmission channel band. The modified segment sync includes a predetermined number of sync signals, and an average of correlation values with respect to the predetermined number of the sync signals has an auto-correlation property. The transmission scheme utilizing the modified segment syncs promotes compatibility with the conventional reception system, minimizes hardware complexity, and enhances synchronization acquisition and equalization performance.
