Another roof assembly for a vehicle is disclosed that includes a vehicle component that is at least partially supported at a transparent roof panel. A method of manufacturing a perimeter trim member for a vehicle is disclosed and includes designing the perimeter trim member as a plurality of sections and molding the plurality of sections as a single sheet of material.

摘要： An attachment system is disclosed for a module (10) configured to be coupled to at least one rail member (20) in a vehicle. The system includes a latch member (40) coupled to the module (10) and movable between an engaged position to secure the module (10) to the rail member (20) and a released position to permit removal of the module (10) from the rail member (20). An actuator portion (42) on the latch member (40) is configured for movement in a first direction and a second direction by a user. An engagement portion (44) on the latch member (40) is configured to engage the rail member (20), whereby the module (40) is attachable to the rail member (20) by moving the actuator portion (42) in the first direction so that the engagement portion (44) engages the rail member (20) and the module (10) is releasable from the rail member (20) by moving the actuator portion (42) in the second direction to disengage the engagement portion (44) from the rail member (20).

In certain exemplary embodiments, the vehicle may include a lightweight cockpit including at least one of a bamboo composite panel, a riffle pattern, an aluminum panel with a hard anodized surface, an automotive office environment, an asymmetric seat with an integrated shifter, a contoured floor panel with an integral seat platform and/or bulkhead, or a dashboard with a break-away top panel for deployment of an airbag. In certain exemplary embodiments, the vehicle may include a lightweight cargo section including at least one of a skeletal wall, an extruded honeycomb skin, top and bottom access panels, a sidewall daylight opening (DLO) with integral air cooling, a swappable roof cap, or a removable bulkhead.
