A portion of the screw length may also include threads to assist in inserting and anchoring the screw into a vertebral member. In use, the bone growth material is loaded into one or more of the slots. Once loaded, the screw may be inserted into the vertebral member to a predetermined depth. At this depth, the slots deliver the bone growth material to a position to allow for bone growth to occur.

摘要： A device having an adjustable height and angle to space vertebral members. The device includes a plurality of links(24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29) that extend between a plate(41, 42) and a deployer. A first section. of the deployer is moved to change the angle of the plurality of links and expand the height of the spacer. A second section of the deployer is moved to change the angle of the plate relative to the centerline. A method of using the spacer is also disclosed and includes positioning the spacer while in the closed orientation between the vertebral members. The spacer is then expanded to a second height. The angle of the spacer is than adjusted as necessary to space the vertebral members.

摘要： A disc nucleus implant instrument (10) having a passageway (16) for passing a prosthetic disc nucleus (15), and a dilator (11) for dilating an opening in a disc annulus (13) is disclosed. The instrument is suitable for delivering a prosthetic disc nucleus, having a first configuration after implantation in a spinal disc nucleus and a second configuration while maintained in the instrument, where the first configuration presents a first cross-sectional size and said second configuration presents a second cross-sectional size, with the first cross-sectional size being larger than the second cross-sectional size, through the openning on the annulus. 摘要： An implant connector is provided for linear implants such as spinal rods that are disposed within a body. The connector includes a first member including a first cavity defined along a longitudinal axis of the first member and configured to receive an implant, the first end having a bulbous shape configured to prevent translational movement of the connector along a longitudinal axis of a receiving portion of a bone screw. The connector includes a second member connected to the first member along a first axis and defining a second cavity that defines a longitudinal axis transverse to the longitudinal axis of the first member and configured to receive a fixation element to affix the implant within the first member, the second member connected to the first member substantially at the second end.
