    • An apparatus for copying transparent and optionally mask films (19,20) onto a radiation sensitive plate (12) comprises a plate carrier (2) on which one or more radiation sensitive plates (12) and one or more transparent films (20) and optionally mask films (19) can be placed in predetermined mutual positions. The apparatus includes a contact frame (3) having means (18) for vacuum connecting the contact frame (3) to the plate carrier (2) and means (V1,V2) for vacuum connecting the transparent film(s) (20) and the mask film(s) (19) to a contact glass (16) of the contact frame (3). An exposure light (4) is provided for directing radiation through the transparent film(s) (20) and the mask film(s) (19) so as to copy them onto the radiation sensitive plate (12). The plate carrier (2) comprises a flexible support plate (8) which is connected to the apparatus frame (1) only along its outer edges, and which carries a flexible rubber blanket (10), which is connected to the support plate (8) only along its outer edges. The support plate (8) together with the rubber blanket (10) and the radiation sensitive plate (12) are able to bend convexly upwards under the influence of the vacuum and into contact with the contact frame (3) starting at the center of the contact frame (3) and thereafter successively proceeding out in all directions towards the edges of the contact frame (3) until there is a total contact.

    • Contact printing apparatus for electrostatic pinning of sheets to each other and in abutment against a transparent plate of copyboard preparatory to exposing the electrostatically laminated sheets to light. The system includes a lid having a conductive pad of resilient, compressively-yielding material which is adapted to be pressed into contact with the laminate and grounded while a D.C. high voltage is applied to a conductive coating on the undersurface of the transparent plate. The built-in grounding of the conductive pad coupled with its resilience greatly increases the electrostatic pulling power by serving as a ground reference.

    • The disclosed device is aimed at improving the light output of this type of device without impairing its homogeneity in colour and luminance while, at the same time, limiting the amount of space occupied. In such a device, three optical valves are placed before three faces of a recombiner cube. The means used to separate a beam of white light into three beams of coloured light consist of a divider cube. The intersections of the treated surfaces of the, two cubes are aligned, and these treated surfaces are in sets of two in one and the same plane. Furthermore, outside the cubes, the optical paths of the three beams are identical, so that the optical distances between the source of white light and the valves are themselves identical.

    • An optical system for an LCD projector comprising an illuminating device, an infrared filter, an optical system and a projecting lens comprises a 45.degree. horizontally inclined blue light tranmission filter, a 45.degree. horizontally inclined green light reflection mirror, a 45.degree. horizontally inclined red image reflection mirror, a 45.degree. horizontally inclined blue image transmission filter, three total reflection mirrors, three condensing lenses, three LCD panels, and separates red, green and blue light elements from the light having been transmitted through the infrared filter, then reemerging an image in respective colors by using the separated red, green and blue light elements in order to compose the reemerged image. The projector lens projects the composed image from the optical system on a screen as an enlarged image and the LCD projector according to this invention can provide a compensation of the red light radiation by red optical path considerably longer than those of the green and the blue optical paths, a considerably high luminance due to using the metal halide lamp, low manufacturing cost, an image of a good resolution power because of reducing the vignetting, also a compactness of its projection lens.

    • An exposure unit for exposing a photosensitive image recording medium with light for forming an image corresponding to an original.
