    • A device and method is disclosed for installing a turntable in a foundation. A foundation module having a base with a plurality of holes therein is used for installing the turntable. A first one of the plurality of holes is adapted to receive a foundation material there through for pouring a first section of the foundation and plurality of frame members are adapted to affix to the base. A form having an outer surface is adapted to secure to at least one of the plurality of frame members. The outer surface of the form is adapted retain a portion of the foundation material for pouring a second section of the foundation and the second section of the foundation defines a wall. Part of the turntable is adapted to rotate within the wall.

    • There is disclosed a cladding section 8 for mounting upon an elongate underwater member and suppressing vortex induced vibration of it, the section including a unitary plastics moulding shaped to provide a tubular 10 portion for receiving the member, the tubular portion being split along its length at 14 and being deformable to permit the member to be introduced into the tubular portion, and the cladding section having at its exterior at least one feature 12 shaped to suppress vortex induced vibration. Rotational moulding of the cladding section is disclosed. The cladding section has an outer layer 24 incorporating anti-fouling material upon an inner structural layer 26.

    • A novel method of injecting a back filling injection material employed in a shield-forming process is described herein. A screw type injection pump with a hopper connected to its intake port is utilized. This pump is rotated in a reverse direction to intake a back filling material into said hopper through a delivery hose connected to its delivery port. The upper limit pressure and a lower limit pressure for the injection pump are set for injection of the back filling material. The injection pump is next rotated in its normal direction to inject the back filling material to a desired location through the delivery hose, and then, after completion of the injection filling of the back filling material, the injection pump is rotated in a reversed direction again to intake water through the delivery hose, thereby washing of the hose and the injection pump can be effected.

    • Riser management systems, apparatus, and methods to maintain a selected range of tension on a plurality of risers extending between subsea well equipment and a floating vessel, are provided. A riser management system can include a mono-buoyancy can platform operably coupled to a plurality of risers extending between subsea well equipment and a moored floating vessel, and a plurality of tensioner units each connected to a top portion of a separate one of the risers to provide tension to each of the risers. The mono-buoyancy can platform can provide tension to each of the risers sufficient to compensate for a relative vertical offset between the risers and the vessel due to vessel movement, which generally affects each of the risers equally, within tolerances, while the tensioner units can simultaneously provide tension to compensate for one or more additional factors which can affect each riser differently.
