The machine further includes an additional yarn feeder control arrangement. This arrangement comprises a control member for controlling each yarn feeder separately from its yarn feeder control drum, movement device adapted to be moved by the associated pattern drum, and coupling member adapted to be operated by the movement device and being adapted to transmit such movement to the control member for causing a particular control to be effected on its associated yarn feeder.

摘要： The Jacquard pattern controllers are formed as holders for pattern jacks, and mounted for indexing movement with movement of the textile machine, typically a flatbed or circular knitting machine; to monitor the position of the pattern holders, electrical switches are fixed in location with respect to the holders, which are provided with switch operating cams, or the like, the electrical contacts being connected in a supervisory circuit which determines the state of the switches and, when one of the switches is not in its predetermined state, gives an alarm signal and stops the machine. The supervisory circuit may be a pair of circuits, through which the switches are all connected in parallel, the circuit sensing whether the switches are all open, or all closed, and at least one switch not being in its proper position, causing the alarm.

摘要： Plain single Jersey stitches are first formed, in accordance with a predetermined Jacquard pattern, with yarn of a first color with cylinder needles, then with dial needles, the yarn being supplied to respective needles alternately when the needles are in knitting position, selected needles (in accordance with the pattern) of the dial, (or cylinder) being disabled when pattern selected cylinder (or dial) needles are knitting; then the needles of the dial (or cylinder) are caused to knit with yarn of a different color, the previously knitting needles being disabled; the yarns of the first and second colors are interknitted at crossover points by transferring yarn of one color from the needle of one group (i.e., cylinder) to needles of the opposite group (i.e., dial), and vice versa. A pair of similar Jacquard pattern controllers are located, in radial alignment, in such a manner that one controller selects the cylinder needles and the other the dial needles simultaneously, the needles of the dial and cylinder being, in accordance with the pattern, brought to knitting position alternatingly.

The timing signal-generating device (56, 60) is set to product a first and a second timing signal sequence containing the first or second timing signals which have temporal intervals corresponding to the distance t but which are offset relative to one another temporally by a value corresponding to the fraction x.t or y.t, one of the timing signal sequences being assigned to the first selection members (44) and the other timing signal sequence being assigned to the second selection members (52) (FIG. 8).
