摘要： The Jacquard pattern controllers are formed as holders for pattern jacks, and mounted for indexing movement with movement of the textile machine, typically a flatbed or circular knitting machine; to monitor the position of the pattern holders, electrical switches are fixed in location with respect to the holders, which are provided with switch operating cams, or the like, the electrical contacts being connected in a supervisory circuit which determines the state of the switches and, when one of the switches is not in its predetermined state, gives an alarm signal and stops the machine. The supervisory circuit may be a pair of circuits, through which the switches are all connected in parallel, the circuit sensing whether the switches are all open, or all closed, and at least one switch not being in its proper position, causing the alarm.

摘要： To selectively remove selector butts on selector jacks and provide a program on the jacks, in accordance with a pattern, a pattern reading means provides control signals which are decoded, synchronized with mechanical transport of the jacks in front of a hammer. The hammer is mechanically moved to a cocked position at which it can strike a butt, striking movement of the hammer being permitted, or inhibited, in accordance with the read information from the pattern, by means of an electrically operated latch, and, when movement is permitted, opening of the latch to thereafter permit striking movement of the hammer by previously stored force, for example a spring, to effect striking of selected butts in accordance with the pattern.

摘要： A holder is adapted to hold either control jacks, or a control wheel into which pins are to be inserted. Located in alignment with the holder is a tool head assembly having a plurality of tool heads which can be, selectively, placed in interfering, or non-interfering position with respect to the carrier for the control jack or wheel. Upon feed movement of the carrier, butts on the jacks will be broken off at those points where tool heads are located in interfering positions; or, pins fed from a magazine are pushed into a pattern wheel or cylinder, where the tool heads, upon relative movement, are in interfering position. The selection of placement of the tool heads are automatically controlled, for example, from an electronic input device, optical reader, or the like.

摘要： A tubular housing retains a spirally wound torsion spring, which is locked in one position and bears against a rotatable carrier which carries the latch opener itself in the form of a hook having a first bend, the inside corner of which may be formed as a cutting edge; and a second bend at an obtuse angle engaging the latches of the needle. If a needle latch should not open, or the needle be bent, the latch opener swings against the force of the torsion spring, thus tripping a shut-off switch to stop the machine, and simultaneously giving an indication by an indicator lamp which latch opener has tripped.
