摘要： A package for a medical device such as an intermittent catheter has a case with open and closed ends. A hinge connects a cap to the case to permit movement of the cap between open and closed positions. A seal connected to one of the cap and case is engageable with the other to maintain a sterile environment inside the package. The seal can be repeatedly made and broken whenever the user closes or opens the cap. The case includes a pair of slots at the open end. A pair of latches is formed in the cap. The latches fit into the slots to prevent lateral forces from distorting the cap when the cap is closed. A first use indication label spans a depression in the outer contour of a closed cap and case, assuring visual confirmation of breach of the label upon first opening of the cap.

摘要： Embodiments are directed to a removable cap with a top hole and a seal with a heat induction closure for sealing an opening of a container. Advantageously, the cap and the seal do not need to be removed for a probe to access contents of the container, when used in a diagnostic analyzer, thereby eliminating operator steps of cap removal and seal peeling/perforation. Automated opening of the cap and seal combination is provided by puncturing the seal. The seal retains its opened shape required for unobstructed, non-contact probe access to contents of the container. The seal is comprised of three layers: a first polymer sealing layer capable of being heat-sealed to a container; an aluminum foil layer on top of the first polymer sealing layer, configured to heat seal the first layer by inductive heating; and a second polymer layer on top of the aluminum foil layer for protection.

摘要： A thermoplastic container assembly includes an improved means of attachment between lid, base and container which meets paint industry drop test standards and includes tamper evidence, a transparent lid and improved means to prevent leakage between the base, lid and container. A base includes an annular portion having an outwardly directed resilient exterior annular wall which engages the inward facing cavity of the rim of the tubular element in snap fit engagement. A lid includes a plurality of spaced apart resilient flange/protrusion elements extending outwardly from a bottom portion of an annular portion of the lid; the flanges/protrusion elements being snap-fit engageable within an upward facing annular groove of the base.
