摘要： A combination printer and cutting device for printing upon and cutting a web of media or tag stock into individual units. The device may cut vinyl, plastic, or RFID stock material as it moves through the printer in both back and forth directions. The device comprises a printer and a cutting apparatus that is further comprised of a carriage assembly and a movable cutter assembly. The cutter assembly is easily interchangeable and comprises a cutting element such as a wheel blade, and a pressure adjusting element for adjusting the amount of pressure applied by the cutting element to the stock material. Alternatively, the cutter assembly may be manufactured with a predetermined pressure load, but still permit an operator to adjust the depth of cut. The cutting apparatus is adaptable for use with both new and existing printers.

摘要： A stand-alone apparatus for cutting a web of media or tag stock into individual units for use downstream of a printer. The apparatus may cut vinyl, plastic, or RFID stock material in both back and forth directions. The apparatus comprises a housing, a carriage assembly and a movable cutter assembly. The cutter assembly is easily interchangeable and comprises a cutting element such as a wheel blade, and a pressure adjusting element for adjusting the amount of pressure applied by the cutting element to the stock material. Alternatively, the cutter assembly may be manufactured with a predetermined pressure load, but still permit an operator to adjust the depth of cut. The apparatus may be powered by and or in hardline or wireless communication with a printer, or may further comprise a computer microprocessor, memory and user interface to function wholly independent from a printer.

A fixed blade assembly may be provided that is adapted to cooperate with the rotary cutter. The fixed blade assembly may extend across the width of the paper path. A controller may be provided for controlling a variable length of travel of the rotary cutter across the width of the paper path. The paper path runs between the rotary cutter and the fixed blade assembly.

摘要： A dispenser includes a housing having an internal chamber sized to rotatably receive a roll of absorbent paper. An elongated slot is provided through which an end of the roll of paper may protrude. Running along the length of the slot in the chamber is a pivoting mechanism that carries a cutting mechanism. A locking mechanism is provided, interacting between the housing and pivoting mechanism, that allows the pivoting mechanism to be locked in an orientation and configuration in which it clamps a portion of the paper roll in fixed position at the location of the slot. In the clamped position, the cutting mechanism may be moved across the paper towel in a direction perpendicular to its direction of unrolling to facilitate cutting a length of towel from the roll. A releasing mechanism is provided that permits the pivoting mechanism to be released from its locked configuration after a length of paper towel has been cut from the roll.
