摘要： A method of feeding a contaminated soil to a remediation apparatus to generate a clean soil and mixing the contaminated soil with an aqueous cleaning solution to generate a soil solution. The method also includes subjecting the soil solution to vortical flow in a first direction and subjecting the soil solution to vortical flow in a second direction in an opposite lateral direction from the first direction. The clean soil can then be separated from a dirty aqueous solution. A remediation apparatus used to clean the contaminated soil that includes a chamber having a soil inlet for receiving a contaminated soil and a soil outlet. The chamber is angled downward from the soil inlet to the soil outlet to facilitate the flow of the soil solution through the chamber. The remediation apparatus also includes a first set of nozzles to inject an aqueous cleaning solution to create a first vortical flow zone in the chamber in a first direction and a second set of nozzles to inject the aqueous cleaning solution to create a second vortical flow zone in the chamber in the second direction.

摘要： A system and associated method for concentrating and separating components of different densities from fluid containing cells using a centrifuge includes a container defining a cavity for receiving the fluid. The container has a top, a sidewall extending from the top, and a bottom disposed opposite the top and in sealing engagement with the sidewall. An insert is slidably disposed in the cavity of the container and defines a lumen through the insert. The lumen, which includes a hole and a funnel-shaped upper portion in fluid communication with the hole, forms an open fluid path between opposite ends of the insert. The insert has a density such that upon centrifugation a selected component of the fluid resides within the lumen. A container port is disposed in the top of the container to transfer the fluid into the container and to withdraw a fluid component other than the selected component from the container. The system includes a manifold that includes a manifold port, a vent to vent the container, and a connector to couple to the container port. A cannula is receivable in the manifold port and extendable through the container port into the container and into the lumen of the insert to withdraw the selected component from the lumen.

摘要： A cutting fluid circulation device includes a first tank reservoir, a primary filter, and a first pump. The tank reservoir stores cutting fluid discharged from a machine tool. The primary filter is provided in the first tank reservoir and filters the cutting fluid. The first pump pumps up the cutting fluid filtered by the primary filter in the first tank reservoir. The first tank reservoir is partitioned into a filtration tank in which the primary filter is disposed, a pumping-up tank in which the first pump is disposed, and a connecting channel in which the cutting fluid in the filtration tank is allowed to flow into the pumping-up tank. The connecting channel has an identical channel width along an entire length thereof, or at least a portion of the channel width is narrowed stepwise or continuously from the filtration tank to the pumping-up tank.

摘要： An automated computer-controlled sampling system and related methods for collecting, processing, and analyzing agricultural samples for various chemical properties such as plant available nutrients. The sampling system allows multiple samples to be processed and analyzed for different analytes or chemical properties in a simultaneous concurrent or semi-concurrent manner. Advantageously, the system can process soil samples in the “as collected” condition without drying or grinding. The system generally includes a sample preparation sub-system which receives soil samples collected by a probe collection sub-system and produces a slurry (i.e. mixture of soil, vegetation, and/or manure and water), and a chemical analysis sub-system which processes the prepared slurry samples for quantifying multiple analytes and/or chemical properties of the sample. The sample preparation and chemical analysis sub-systems can be used to analyze soil, vegetation, and/or manure samples.

摘要： Disclosed is a preparation system and a preparation method for high-quality xylitol crystals. The preparation system comprises a blending tank, a heat exchanger, a decolorization tank, an ion exchange system, a microporous filter, a first evaporator, a first crystallization kettle, a first centrifuge, a fluidization drying bed, a xylitol dissolution tank, a second evaporator, a second crystallization kettle, a second centrifuge, a hot air drying tank, and a cold air fluidization bed sequentially connected through pipelines. Liquid outlet of the first centrifuge is connected with first inlet of the blending tank. Liquid outlet of the second centrifuge is connected with first inlet of the xylitol dissolution tank. The blending tank is provided with second inlet for receiving xylitol hydrogenation solution. The xylitol dissolution tank is provided with water inlet for pure water. The material output from a product outlet of the cold air fluidization bed is xylitol crystal product. First prepared xylitol crystals are redissolved and recrystallized to prepare xylitol crystals with higher pH and better flavor.

摘要： A mixed fluid collection apparatus includes a collection vessel configured to contain a fluid comprising a first component and a second component. The collection vessel includes an outer shell within which the fluid is contained. An emitter is coupled to an outside of the outer shell at a first position, and is configured to emit an acoustic signal into the outer shell. A receiver is coupled to the outside of the outer shell at a second position, with the receiver being configured to detect the acoustic signal emitted by the emitter. A controller is coupled to the emitter and the receiver. The controller is configured to determine a time between when the acoustic signal is emitted and when the acoustic signal is detected, and the controller is configured to determine a level of the second component in the collection vessel based on the time.
