摘要： A jumping toy and the methodology of creating a cascading arrangement of multiple jumping toys. Each jumping toy has a first segment and a second segment that are connected at a joint. The first segment and the second segment can rotate about the joint between a first configuration and a second configuration. Each jumping toy has a biasing element that biases the jumping toy toward its second configuration. Each jumping toy is stable in its first configuration and quickly transforms into its second configuration once it is slightly displaced out of its first configuration. The rapid change in configuration makes the bi-stable toy jump. A plurality of bi-stable toys can be overlapped into a cascading chain. The first toy in the cascading chain is triggered. The movement of the first toy triggers the next toy in the chain in a cascade.

摘要： A pop-up toy assembly includes a head portion having a cap portion with an interior space, a base portion, a mesh tubing having a top end portion and a bottom end portion narrower than the top end portion, and a latching mechanism, wherein the top end portion is attached to an interior surface of the interior space of the head portion and the bottom end portion is attached to the base portion, the mesh tubing is configured to invert inwards when a compress force is applied to move the assembly from an uncompressed state to a compressed state, and the latching mechanism is configured to latch the head portion and the base portion in a compressed state and, upon impact with another object, the latching mechanism is configured to unlatch from the compressed state and spring back to the uncompressed state with enough force to propel the assembly away from the another object.

The shape changing apparatus further includes a biasing mechanism coupled to the first and second appendages. The biasing mechanism is configured to bias the first and second appendages to the open position. The shape changing apparatus further includes a release mechanism operatively coupled to one of the first or second appendages. Upon activating the release mechanism the biasing mechanism pivots the first and second appendages to the open position.
