摘要： Methods and compositions for producing hydrogel capsules enveloped with at least one coating layer is disclosed. The coating formulations deposited on the surface of the capsules can improve the physical integrity and the water-retention properties of the alginate beads. The coating formulations can be sequentially applied in various combinations to obtain desirable properties, such as improved physical integrity, mechanical strength, and low permeability, that can extend the shelf-life of the capsules when incorporated into various consumer products.

摘要： The invention relates to microcapsule comprising at least one fat-soluble active substance selected from provitamins, vitamins and esters thereof, monounsaturated fatty acids, polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA's), carotenoids and benzoquinones embedded in a matrix comprising a hydrocolloid and optionally one or more other matrix components, wherein the content of active substance(s) is from 30 to 60% of total weight of the microcapsule, and wherein the ratio between said fat-soluble active substance(s) and said hydrocolloid is at least 4:1, as well as a process for preparing such microcapsules.The microcapsules of the invention may be used for the preparation of tablets, food products and other products including an active substance.

摘要： A seamless capsule manufacturing apparatus (1) manufactures a seamless capsule by means of nozzles (2a-2d). A core liquid (5) and a coating liquid (6) are supplied to each of the nozzles (2a-2d) from pumps (16, 18) through distributors (21, 22). The distributors (21, 22) and the nozzles (2a-2d) are connected to each other by core liquid distributing tubes (23a-23d) and coating liquid distributing tubes (25a-25d), and each of the core liquid distributing tubes (23a-23d) and each of the coating liquid distributing tubes (25a-25d) have the same length. A vibrator (24) is mounted to the distributor (21), and the core liquid (5) is supplied to the nozzles (2a-2d) while being vibrated. Each of the distributors (21, 22) is provided with an air vent device (35), and air vent is performed appropriately.

摘要： A method of preparing a granular delivery system by creating a melt emulsion having a continuous phase and a dispersed active, wherein the continuous phase includes trehalose and a low dextrose equivalent carbohydrate that is not a hydrogenated starch hydrolysate, forcing the melt emulsion through an die or orifice to form an extrudate, cooling and granulating the extrudate to form granules of the delivery system and optionally drying the granules. The melt extrusion provides excellent viscosity and Tg characteristics for the extrusion process.
